Located just a stones throw from Copake Lake & Copake Country Club, you will never run out of things to do; it`s the perfect spot for a family vacation, golf trip, celebration or couples getaway!
Appointed with Mitchell Gold furniture, a custom built 6` round dining room table, indoor fireplace (Dec 2013), double insulated windows, concrete countertops & island/bar, stainless appliances & induction cooktop.
PELAST NOTE: This house is located about 1/4 mile down the street from Copake Lake; it is not a lakefront property. However, The Barn renters DO have direct lake access via a privately owned lakeside deck that is accessible by foot, provided golf carts or car. There is no public beach area at Copake Lake.
Renters receive their own 15`x15` lakeside deck space (half of a 30`x15` deck that is shared with our other rental property).
There are (2) docks attached to the deck that are used for Copake Lake Boat Rentals and Copake Country Club boat parking. These docks can be used by renters for swimming and fishing, but are not dedicated to renters; only the deck space is dedicated. Docks are in the water from mid-May until the end of September.
We make ourselves available by phone & text 24/7 or whenever our guests may have a question. If someone needs to come to The Barn, we will come ourselves or always have someone available for you.
The Barn is only 100 yards from the beautiful Copake Lake, & walking distance to Copake Country Club & the Greens Restaurant. Great Barrington, MA & Hudson, NY are only a short 25 minutes away.
Primary renter needs to be 21 years of age or older and MUST be an active guest for the period (cannot sign in for underage renters please).
The Barn can be rented as a space to hold special events such as wedding ceremonies and small family reunions by working with The Greens at Copake Country Club for catering coordination. Logistics such as parking, restrooms, rentals and noise require careful consideration at our unique property and therefore we cannot allow events of more than 20 people to be hosted at The Barn without the use of our event planning services. Additional fees may apply and bookings that break up weekends are not permitted.
Stays during Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day are three days minimum (Friday to Monday) at the weekend rate. Additional days on the front or back end of the trip are permitted and will be charged at the standard weekday rate.
Pets are allowed on a case by case basis and depending on the animal breed and size.
The Barn is equipped with split type ductless air conditioners and baseboard heaters. Please be aware that on very hot or very cold days it may take some time to cool/heat the space. We do our best to turn the units on prior to your arrival, but it is a large, old house, so please be patient.
Please note outdoor amenities such as the exterior waterfront deck, dock, chairs on the pond, outdoor shower and some outdoor furniture are only available between May 1 and October 31

-Alterations:
Reducing nights from your reservation is subject to the cancellation policy and may not be approved. Extensions are almost always welcome, though last-minute requests may require cleaner confirmation.
-Regular Maintenance:
Essential services, such as lawn care, snow removal, pool/hot tub cleaning (where applicable), and pest control, may occur during your stay. These vendors follow a regular schedule, though days and times can vary slightly. We kindly ask that you allow them to complete their work quickly so you can enjoy the rest of your day.
-Damage:
If something is damaged, please let us know right away. We value honesty and will work with you to find a fair resolution, whether the damage is minor or significant.
-Wildlife:
Our homes are often in rural areas, so you may encounter insects (bees, spiders, flies), small animals (squirrels, raccoons), and occasionally larger wildlife (deer, bears). Please be prepared for nature during your stay and remember theyâre more afraid of you than you are of them.
-Power & Internet Outages:
Outages can happen in this area due to weather or other factors. Because they are out of our control, we do not provide refunds for these interruptions, but weâll do our best to help you work around them.
-Weather:
Rain, wind, snow and extreme heat and humidity are possible depending on the season. Please plan your travel accordingly, as we cannot refund missed stays due to weather conditions preventing travel.
-Additional Guests & Occupancy Limits:
The listed occupancy applies to your entire stay, not just overnight guests. Any extra guests or events must be approved in writing before arrival. Unapproved gatherings or over-occupancy will result in immediate removal without a refund.
-Pools, Hot Tubs & Outdoor Amenities:
These features may be seasonal. If your booking is at the beginning or end of the season and youâre concerned, check with us to confirm availability.
-Mail & Packages:
You may have mail or packages delivered during your stay, but please ensure they arrive while you are present and are clearly addressed with your name.
