New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Upgrades for 2026 include new vinyl flooring and carpeting installed throughout, freshly painted bedrooms, new HVAC units on 1st and 2nd levels, new washer and dryer. Beautiful Time and Tide is easy to love, as this noble home sits directly across from a vast subdivision lake. The ground level has a carport, an under-house entry, an outdoor shower, and a lovely private pool. Step inside the first level to find a tiled game room with a pool table, a mini-bar with a sink, a mini-fridge, a dishwasher, and deck access to the pool. The first bedroom has a pyramid bed and semi-private access to a hallway bathroom. There's a primary suite on the second floor with a TV, a DVD player, and a bathroom with a tub/shower. The laundry nook is convenient for all. The third bedroom features deck access to a private hot tub, and a bathroom with a tub/shower shared with the fourth bedroom, offering a TV and deck access. The upstairs great room showcases tall ceilings, resort-style furniture, a TV and DVD player, and deck access. The well-equipped tiled kitchen has all the necessities, a breakfast bar, and a sound view dining area. The sundeck ends in a screened porch with a picnic table and an extra sun tower level. The fifth bedroom is a suite with a TV, a DVD player, and a semi-private hallway bath.

Spacious and inviting!

This home provides everything for a great family vacation! We enjoyed the sunset from the upper deck, the pool was refreshing, and many games of pool were played in the game room. There’s ample room for large families and the king beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Nice Stay

We had a very nice stay. House was in a very good location. Quiet neighborhood and close to stores. Having the pool on property was a nice bonus. Our stay was pleasant and we all had a good time. We will be booking again with Vacasa in the future, as we have done already in the past. Never have had any issues.

The home was very clean and we enjoyed the hot tub as well the game room. And it has a ice machine in the game room! If you bring your pet watch out for the lil sand spurs on your pets paws.

Great location

House is in a great development and easy access to the beach. There is a lot of construction going on so some noise in area. Home needs some TLC though.

Family Fun

Our kids loved having the swimming pool and excitedly used it every single day of our vacation. The house does need some TLC, but otherwise served it’s purpose for the week.

The property was great ! A few hiccups was we wasn’t able to work any of the coffee makers and the umbrella at the pool was broken. Over all it was great and plan to book it again next year

Loved Time and Tide!

Time and Tide is an amazing house! Nice big family room. Nice size bedrooms. Comfortable beds. A/C works great for the whole house. Awesome game room and pool. Wonderful crows nest with nice views of ocean and Sound. Great corner lot. Quiet neighborhood with great walking areas. Loved the house and our stay.

In need of some updates but overall good

This was a great home but unfortunately it’s in need of some updates, the carpet has pet stains all over it and it definitely smells like dogs have been going to the bathroom in it. There’s a leak by the main bedroom. I think new carpeting would really maker this house feel nice and new again. The outdoor space is amazing and we loved our time here. The gas fireplace doesn’t work and the pool heater is broken- which we’re both reasons why we booked it later in the season. We made the best of it and loved the crows nest view! Stunning. Kitchen is well stocked and decks are nice and secure. The bottom floor deck could use a power washing.

Decent property

House is in a good location and quiet community. However, the house could of been cleaned a little better. Dishes were still dirty and the couches were covered in dog hair. Back exterior door on the third level is rotted and allows water to come in, mold and mildew on the bottom of the trim at door. The house could use some tremendous updating but it still serves its purpose. WiFi was not connected therefore we couldn’t use any of the TVs. Also ants in the kitchen and the Keurig did not work. Bathrooms could be cleaned a little better as well.

Upon arrival we noticed several issues, including wifi not working, fridge not cooling, and mold around vents & missing air filters. We reached out about these issues the evening of our arrival and were told a local team would be handling it. We reached back out to the general customer service line around noon the next day after not hearing anything from the local team. We simply asked when we could expect to hear from the local team, but did not get an answer. We were then contacted by a maintenance person...on the other side of the state who was dispatched the address of a booking we have for next year. We had to call the general costumer service line again, where they finally put a ticket in with the local team for the correct address about our issues. 3 hours later a local person arrived to address the issues. Fortunately we had a couple of handy people in our group who were able to get the fridge & wifi working by the time the maintenance person arrived. Our food would have been ruined if we had had to wait for the maintenance people to come fix the fridge. Also, while this was a pet friendly house, we noticed evidence of previous animals that had not been thoroughly cleaned, mostly in the living room. We had to keep the foam segments under the carpet outside for the duration of our stay to fix the smell. These issues would have been less disruptive if we had had better communication from the local team.

Never again

We needed a house with a private pool for our special needs daughter. The pool was the only good thing. The house had a strong smell of dog. It needs a good deep cleaning. A layer of dust was on everything. The decks were green from water and very slippery. Our daughter fell because of this. The carpets in the bedrooms were very stained. The internet didn’t work for the first three days and trying to get someone to come out and look at it was impossible. “We’ll make a ticket” was the response. After inquiring with friends this seems to be a Vacasa thing. So we’ll never use Vacasa again. It’s a shame a potentially nice house can’t be enjoyed because of the smell and filth. And I don’t think our complaints were heard. We actually left a day early because we were so uncomfortable. And of course they’re “making a ticket” about a partial refund.

Unfit Property Rental

Upon arrival there were piles of construction debris, trash and construction equipment left in front and on the side of the home as well as under the covered driveway. In addition the pool was full of plant related and trash debris. Outdoor furniture at pool level was covered in dust/dirt and broken tools were strewn about. Inside the upstairs carpet was worn and had pulls and tears. The dining table was dirty and one bed was missing sheets that should have been available upon check in. The dryer was not operational. Overall we felt this property was misrepresented for attributes we were looking for in selecting it. Additionally, having no local contact to reach out to directly was frustrating and slowed getting response and action to our multiple requests for help! We will not be able to provide a positive recommendation for this property.

Disappointed with this property

This is our first review we have taken the time to write about. We never write reviews but think it’s important so no one else gets misled. We have rented through home away several times and we have always had an excellent experience. Unfortunately this is not true for this property. The pictures are not true to what the actual house is like. The property is tired and needs some work. The bathroom showers are ancient. In general the outside of the house needs much more maintenance than provided. The hot tub is not atall maintained. It had frogs in it when my boys went inside not realizing that it had frogs around and inside. We paid extra charge for the pool to be heated. It was warm only one night. After that the pool was never heated again. Inspite of complaining and requesting the pool and hot tub to be fixed and setup properly no one ever came. We were unable to use both pool and hot tub for the rest of our stay. The last thing you would ever want to happen to you when you are on vacation is to run around trying to fix things around the home you rented. We really wish we had not rented this house since my boys were truly disappointed throughout the stay. We wanted to spend time as a family in this vacation so we chose this property that offered heated pool and hot tub. Instead we had to spend time outside the house for the most of the vacation.

I wanted to like this home

I’ve never stayed at a beach house in OBX before so this was our first experience and the house left a lot to be desired. The Exterior: needs a good power washing as well as all of the outdoor furniture and the tiered decks, pool area has weeds and debris all around it and the furniture was cheap and old, grill and grill utensils not maintained well either Living Room and Kitchen: all furniture is old and stained, coffee table was dirty as well as the shelf underneath it, kitchen appliances need to be updated, overall cleanliness was not great, floors were so dirty our feet turned black on the first day, the dining table had a glass overlay that had all kinds of dirty things under it, Bedrooms: entry doors were filthy it looked like someone had rubbed their dirty hands all over them, furniture was also old and dirty, the main bedroom had a pet stain on the bed skirt that my dog would not leave alone. Other Notes: the carpet all through the house needs to be pulled up especially since it’s pet friendly. You could see and smell stains on the carpet, door frames/baseboards/other trim need to be replaced or repainted as they were in bad shape, the floors all over the house were gross and dirty I didn’t even take my shoes off, there was no chalk for the pool table and the foose ball table is shoved in a corner so you can’t even really use it, there was also no a lot of extra towels or bed linens so we had to wash them every other day. Overall I was not impressed with this house, for as much as it costs for a week in the summer I expected more for my money. The neighborhood itself was great and in a good location and the pool was a decent size. Other than that I can’t really say anything nice about the house.

This house needs some TLC.

We have rented pet friendly homes at the Outer Banks for many years and typically know what to expect. This house was far worse than we anticipated, especially for the price. The house has a strong odor of pet urine and many visible stain on the carpet. The carpet throughout the house is in very bad shape and really needs to be removed and replaced with anything other than carpet. The carpet seam on the top floor was ripped and frayed from one end of the room to the other. The beds skirts had visible pet stains. There were many light bulbs burned out. The furniture was very worn out and ready to be retired. The hot tub leaks very badly. When we got there it was only half full, they did send a service tech out who instructed us to just add water to it with the provided hose. The leak appears to have been present for quite some time as bottom of the hot tub was rotted and the deck showed heavy water damage. The carpet was full of sand spurs. I wouldn’t walk anywhere inside without shoes between the sand spurs and sticky carpet. Vacasa also dropped off the linens for the next tenant on Thursday and left them outside. I have never seen a rental company drop off the linens for the next tenant to let them sit outside with the snails and spiders. Some must have items to bring are: - Air fresheners and Lysol - House shoes -Your own comforters for the beds On the plus side the house was ready before the 5:00pm check in time and we were offered early check in at just after 12 noon.

William, we appreciate your feedback and have shared your comments with the local manager. They assured us that the carpet has been replaced and the bed skirts cleaned. Additionally, all light bulbs have been replaced and the hot tub has been addressed. Regarding the linens for the next guest, sometimes they are pre-delivered by the service and are in a sealed tub. We apologize for the issues that detracted from your stay and hope you will give us another chance to host you again for a more relaxing getaway.
