Peaceful Retreat
Fresh, airy bedroom with queen bed (memory foam) and adjacent shared bath in adorable cottage. You'll see the quiet side of Savannah when you stay with me. Perfect for film industry folks, professionals, or house hunters.
Hosts are fully vaccinated for covid-19. We ask that guests also are fully vaccinated. Third party bookings not accepted, the person staying must be the person booking.

The space
Quaint cottage in bucolic surroundings. Close proximity to downtown Savannah, the islands including Tybee, and Bonaventure cemetery.
The house is a 2bed 1 bath with a bright and open kitchen/dining space and a tranquil living room with a working fireplace.
A couple of cats currently supervise the resident human.
Guest access
Guests have access to their bedroom, a shared bathroom with walk-through closet, kitchen, and a living room with a functional fireplace. Guests have a mini fridge and are welcome to use the kitchen. Shed, office and second bedroom are private to homeowner. There is plentiful, free on-street parking. Street sweeping is once a month and we can share the driveway if needed on that day.
During your stay
1) I work from home so I am around a fair amount during the day. See below for a note about working in this space.
2) You can expect that I will be cooking and using the kitchen frequently. There is a separate fridge and pantry space for guests, and guests are also welcome to use the kitchen.
3) It is expected that guests will maintain basic tidiness and clean up after themselves to a reasonable extent.
Other things to note
1) I really appreciate clear communication about your arrival time. Please make a note of the check-in window of 6-8pm on arrival day. I am able to sometimes be flexible however you must arrange this with me before your arrival day. Late night (post 9pm) check-ins will be accommodated at my discretion, and only with advance notice.
2) A few cats live in the house. You will never be asked to care for them if I am gone, but if I am away overnight someone will come over to feed them 2x daily.
3) Do not utilize the house address for your postal mail. If you have mail or packages that you need to receive, please make a different arrangement for it, such as a PO Box or an alternate delivery address. If you absolutely must receive something by mail here, please discuss it with me in advance.
4) I am not able to host undergraduate students or full-time/long-term work-live guests (grad students ok), because I already work at the house and it has not been a good fit. Please plan accordingly to go to a job or obligation outside the house on a regular basis. I am happy to recommend a reasonably priced co-working space in the area if you need a daily workspace for your business or project. If you feel this is a grey area please reach out to me to discuss it.
5) No firearms are permitted on the premises. This includes in vehicles parked on the property at any time.
6) Although it is unlikely, a fee may be assessed in the event of property damage or excessive use of utilities (ie water, electricity, internet etc), sundries (ie tp, dish soap, paper towels, condiments etc), or damage to kitchen pots, pans, or appliances. The exact amount will be at the host's discretion. In the event this fee is assessed you will be billed through Airbnb. Please use common sense, and ask me if you have questions about using something.
