We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with aspects of your stay. While we do not advertise the property as having a water view, there are a few peekaboo views of the water from both the house and the street. Regarding the thermostat, we had just replaced it prior to your arrival and let you know that it was behaving a bit unpredictably. We also assured you that we would be happy to adjust the temperature remotely to whatever was most comfortable for you. Unfortunately, your visit coincided with greenhead season, which is a short, seasonal occurrence along the Maine coast. Thankfully, it is nearly over now. While we understand they can be a nuisance, this is a regional, seasonal condition and is not unique to our beach. Our beach is one of the features guests consistently praise. It is especially family-friendly, with gentle waters, no undertows, expansive low tides, and the unique ability to walk to two nearby islands. Over the past 20 years, we've received many compliments from guests who appreciate these qualities, along with the fact that the beach is enjoyable without feeling overcrowded. The Pack 'n Play provided is a standard-size model, as is typical for vacation rentals. Finally, we sincerely apologize that a small child's swimsuit top was inadvertently left in the outdoor shower by our cleaning team. This was clearly an oversight, and had we been notified during your stay, we would have been happy to remove it immediately. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to provide the best experience for future guest.
