Das Sandy Flat, ein Strandhaus auf Pawleys Island, South Carolina, ist ein großartiger Ort für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Sandig
Wohnung für 10 Personen mit einem Schlafzimmer (Queensize-Bett) im Erdgeschoss, 2 Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss (Queensize-Bett in einem und Doppel-und Zweibettzimmer im anderen). Kinder lieben das Loft im Obergeschoss mit Doppel- und Ausziehbetten. Obwohl das Haus 10 Personen schläft, können sich mehr als sechs Erwachsene überfüllt fühlen!
Bäder mit Dusche und Badewanne auf jeder Etage. Außerhalb geschlossene Dusche hat heißes Wasser. Deck hat eine schöne freie Sicht auf Pawleys Creek. Das Meer ist von den Schlafzimmern im Obergeschoss aus zu sehen. Wifi und 3 Fernseher sind enthalten.
Die meisten Leute ziehen es vor, ihre eigene Bettwäsche und Handtücher mitzubringen. Sprechen Sie mit dem Eigentümer darüber, da diese möbliert werden können.
Parkplätze stehen für maximal drei Autos zur Verfügung.

Always the best !

Not my first time here and definitely not the last. This little house is what Pawleys Island is all about. The history of this place to the location is just great ! Nancy is the best !

Vacation at Sandy Flat, Pawleys Island

This little cabin is clean and has a good location, even though it’s not on the beach- it’s a short walk to the beach. The kitchen is very small, two people are crowded in it. The main sitting area has old uncomfortable furniture. Slide glass door needs to be replaced.

It was everything as was described. Love the fact that the owner made contact with us and made us feel at home. The extra bonus was it was easy short access to the beach. Definitely will stay there again.

Relaxing!

We enjoyed our stay at Sandy Flats. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay sress free and relaxing. Communication with the owner was great. She made herself readily available if we had any questions or needs and was gracious in allowing us to bring more than one dog, so our pups got a vacation too. She goes out of her way to provide for your needs to make vacation as relaxing as possible! Thank you for making your home available!

Pros and cons

Pros: The area seems safe with the local police station nearby. It’s a short walk to the beach. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the back porch. The beach is nice and not as busy as other SC beaches. The cost of this rental was less than most of the other available options nearby. Cons: The kitchen was maybe a 6 or 7 on cleanliness. It appears as though the house hasn’t been updated much in the past 50 years. It definitely fits the Pawleys Island “arrogantly shabby” vibe. The key to the lift wasn’t left for us, which would have been helpful for luggage. The beds weren’t very comfortable in our opinion. The linens weren’t provided. Overall, it was fine and we made it work. I would recommend this house if you consider the pros and cons.

Wonderful Week

My family, black lab and I had a great week at Sandy Flat. The house was everything we needed and was very comfortable. We came to the beach to truly relax and this house didn’t disappoint. Wonderful views from the deck overlooking the marsh and a nice screened in porch for those rainy afternoon showers. After sitting on the beach all day, it was also nice to come back and hammock in the breeze under the house. If you have an Eno, I suggest you bring it! The house was clean and had a kitchen with everything needed, which was nice as we mostly stay in for meals. Nancy was a pleasure to communicate with and we are already planning for a trip next year. Thank you for sharing Sandy Flat for others to enjoy.

Perfect location!

If you're looking for an affordable place to just enjoy the beach, this is it. The view of the marsh is beautiful and you are a 2 minute walk to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and people are friendly. A 5 to 10 minute drive to the mainland gets you to shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Highly recommmended.

Best vacation ever!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sandy Flat! Location is superb, with sunsets over the marsh on one side and a short 3 minute walk to the ocean on the other. Nancy was a delight to work with and we couldn't be happier with how everything went. We will be back!

Great Beach House

This house is the perfect beach bungalow. While it is not fancy, it had everything we needed with a nice homey feel. It was a very short and easy walk to the beach (close enough to hear the waves from the screened in back porch). We really enjoyed the marsh view from the front deck as well. The owner, Nancy, was great to work with too! We would totally stay there again.

Perfect place for our family!

Everyone had plenty of space and we thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with our family in this wonderful house! Beach toys that were provided and a swing under the house kept my kids occupied and entertained. The beach was a minute or two walk and it was beautiful. Perfect weather! Pawleys Island was the perfect distance from Surfside and Myrtle Beach as well as Georgetown. Lots of geo-caches. And we all loved the LowCountry Zoo at Brookgreen Gardens! Anyone who stays here will leave happy just like we did!

I grew up in Greenville SC Where I graduated from GHS and Furman University . After graduation I taught high school math and science in Charleston before marriying and moving to Georgetown, SC.
My husband and I had 2 children. After his untimely death at the age of 42, I became a New York Life agent retiring in 2000.
At 54 I started taking cello lessons and currently play in 2 orchestras. I am a “member with excellence” and former president of the South Carolina Watermedia Society.
I am currently married to Terry Agner, a retired Lutheran pastor. We are the grandparents of 7 grandchildren and divide our time between Georgetown and Asheville, NC
