This cute little red house was exactly as perfect as it looked on the site!! It was a beach vacation dream. It was an easy walk in the morning to the beach for sunrise and a quick drive to anywhere else we wanted to go. The house had everything we needed for our stay and for the beach. We loved it!!

Great house!

Best rental ever! I was a bit reluctant booking last minute but to my surprise it surpassed all my expectations. This rental had everything we needed plus extra goodies. The beach was a short walk with kids and chairs in tow. Host response was quick.Overall a great stay! Thank you Amy!

Love 'The Red House'

Just wish we could have stayed longer. It is so convenient to everything we wanted. Fell in love with ShyCatz just a few blocks away. Breakfast all day! 'nough said. Beds were comfortable and a/c cold. Galveston is our new beach destiny and 'The Red House' is where I will hang my towel.

Red House

Historic Home with some original features, clean and close to attractions! Owner informative and responds fast! No back yard but great location. Mattresses need replacing but wasn’t a deal breaker for us. AC works well.

Red House

We enjoyed our stay! The lighting was as our only problem! The lighting situation never worked correctly with the controller. Might be a short in King room not sure half the time the lights did not come on with the switch! Nice convenient walk to beach and enjoyed the breeze from the porch!

Nice older house 2 blocks to beach. Comfortable and convenient. Shower not the best but ok. Tub and kitchen sink looked bad. It appears both had been painted at some point and much of the paint had peeled off. We did enjoy our stay there.

It was an awesome experience. It had everything we needed for a short Family stay for my kiddo sixth and 16th birthday party of course the party was held at the beach, but it was a great place to be able to cook and relax. It was so close to the beach.

Great location!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Red House! We had 2 couples, 2 babies and a 9 year old. We had plenty of space with the 3 bedrooms and open living area. The deck was large and great for relaxing, the breeze there was very nice even on a hot day. We loved having the outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach! There's bikes and a lot of beach equipment in the basement which many would find useful - toys, chairs, umbrellas, kickboards. Plenty of towels were available, and it was nice to know there was a washer and dryer if we needed it! The wifi worked great, as did the AC - we were actually quite chilly the first night. The owners were very helpful and quick to answer any questions we had prior to booking and during our stay. The location of this house is fantastic, only a short walk to the beach and restaurants - with the babies and all of our stuff we opted to drive. There is street parking available along the beach right at the end of the road for a reasonable price. We enjoyed going to this beach, the other beaches further East looked to be much more crowded!

Amy was quick to respond to and concerns or inquiries we had and was very understanding and reassuring with all questions. Would definitely stay here again if we get the chance to go back to Galveston!
