Comfort & Climate (No A/C): True mountain living with a design maximizes airflow with ceiling fans in every room to capture the crisp Sierra evening breezes to keep the home cool throughout the day. Cool mountain nights naturally drop the temperature for comfortable sleeping.

Location Notes: Tucked into a quiet forest setting—You may hear the distant rumble of trains from across the river echoing through the canyon—a signature sound of the Feather River area.

Other things to note:
No landline telephone and cellular reception isn't the best throughout the area. The property provides high-speed wifi internet though that is perfect for video calling and streaming from all your devices.

Communication is essential: To ensure a smooth stay, we'll need to make sure you can stay in touch through Vrbo messages prior to confirming your booking.

No late checkouts. For every 30 minutes or portion thereof you remain on the property after check out time you will incur an additional fee of $75.

Security Cameras: Home has one doorbell camera at the front door entrance and one over the driveway on the front of the home. Both cameras capture video and audio and have motion sensing alert functionality.

Unprotected access to Feather River approximately 50 yards from property.

First Aid Kit: located in the hall cabinet, at the top.

Starter Supplies: we’ve provided a starter pack for the following: Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, coffee pods, coffee grounds, coffee filters, Splenda, and individual creamers. If you need more please bring more.

Ice: the fridge ice maker does not work. Please bring your own ice.

Drinking Water: our well water has high iron content. There’s a water filter pitcher in the fridge – we drink from that. Please bring extra water bottles as needed.

TV’s: all TVs are internet-enabled (Roku). Log into your own subscriptions (Netflix, YouTube, etc.) using the Roku remote.

Games: check out the coffee table drawers in the living room for games and puzzles.

No Smoking: our home is a non-smoking/non-vaping house.

No Telephone: no land line telephone. Cellular reception may be spotty. High speed WiFi provided for internet calling.

No Pets: our home does not allow pets of any kind at any time.

Weather: If it’s warm: Use the ceiling and standing fans, open windows in the morning, then close them to keep things cool. If it’s cold: Use blankets and baseboard heaters (turn off when not needed).

Bugs: remember, you are in the mountains so there are bugs! The bug maintenance doesn’t get them all unfortunately.

Septic Tank: please avoid flushing anything but toilet paper. No food down the drains.

Garbage: when the trash bins are full inside, take bags to the garage and place them in the tin cans. Housekeeping will handle removal after you check out.

Quiet Time: please respect our neighborhood’s quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM.

Parties/Group Events: no parties or group events allowed at any time

Fires: open fires are prohibited in Plumas County (huge fines!). We also do not allow fires in the fireplace.

BBQ: Gas BBQ on the deck

Deck café lights: turn on using the button on the box (by the outside wall). These lights turn off automatically at 10 PM in case you forget.

Kitchen
• Feel free to use spices, oil, etc. in the kitchen.
• Dishes & Cookware: use any cooking tools, utensils, and appliances.
• Before checking out: please load and start the dishwasher, and rinse off any used appliances (like the blender, mixer, or air fryer). We kindly ask that you leave them out so our housekeeper can give them a thorough cleaning.
• Trash Bags (starter pack): Located under the sink.

• Extra blankets are in the closets or baskets around the house.
• Extra sheets and pillowcases are in the hall cabinet.
• Extra towels are in the hall cabinet
• Use the dresser drawers and closets for clothes. There’s also a clothes steamer in the primary closet/or laundry counter if needed.

• We’ve provided towels, a blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, plus a few backup toilet paper rolls.
