We would like to first off Thank You for this opportunity! As mentioned previously, my family and friends have been visiting Shawnee as both Timeshare holders and renters since I was little. This was actually the first time we've stayed in Fairway. It was nice and quaint. (We're spoiled with the layout, space, amenities...of Depuy and River Village II). My husband, daughter and I spend more weekends than not in the Poconos! Maybe its time for further Timeshares, vacation, permanent home purchase? Getting back to the review...There was A LOT of confusion at check-in and we almost didn't have a Villa! They never received the reservation and had it reserved for another? They had to try find them another available Villa or place us somewhere else. After SEVERAL minutes and working with a manager, it was resolved. Then there was NO parking designation for our Villa. (Before and after designations but NOTHING for ours?) There was an open designation so, we ended up taking that otherwise; we would've ended up parking down at the Shawnee Inn. All in all we had a great weekend with seeing a show at the Theater (Willy Wonka Junior) and other planned, unplanned activities! You can NEVER go wrong in the Poconos!!! ***On a side note... On Saturday when the family checked in that also had a reservation, they were apparently TSO's who owned more than one of the Villa's, and made "special arrangements" to be next to one another for "specific reasons". They were NOT happy and made sure to let us know it! When we went out, they moved ALL of their vehicles over and took ALL spaces leaving us no parking. You pick your battles in life:) It's also such a shame to see the inside pool at Shawnee Inn along with, some other areas falling apart like it is! Everything was always SSSOOO beautiful! Lets ALL hope they make plans to fix a VERY important part of history that meant SSSOOO much to SSSOOO many!!!
