The space
Casa Prosperidad is more than a place to stay it's an experience of the costarican way of life, with fast internet!

Originally the house where I grew up and my father’s house, our home. It’s not designed for VRBO, and that’s what makes it special. Mismatched spoons, well-loved pots, and art made by my dad give it a lived-in feel, like visiting family.

The 400 Mbps internet makes it a great spot for people that can work from anywhere, while the central location means you can walk to the park, supermarkets, restaurants, shops, and more. Want to feel like a local? You’ll love it here.

In the back garden, a gentle acequia (natural water canal) flows, creating a peaceful soundscape perfect for relaxing, journaling, or working under the trees.

Please note: being in the village center means you’ll hear life happening, including cars passing by and sometimes the neighbors dogs. It’s part of the rhythm of real town life.

If you want to experience the real Costa Rica, this is the place to stay. The house is located at a very costarican neighborhood where everybody knows each other.

Sarchi is famous for its hand painted oxcarts, and fine wood hand made souvenirs. Sarchi is a very small town, and my dads family has been here forever!! A relative of him created in 1923 an oxcart factory and it is named Eloy Alfaro oxcart factory. The genius of Don Eloy allowed the installation of an efficient hydraulic energy system that generates 12 horsepower, powered by a nearby river called Trojas, which sets in motion all the machinery required in the workshop. From its founding until now, Eloy Alfaro Factory is known for its excellence in ironwork necessary for the production of carts, especially for the branding of the wheels. This is the only factory of carts in the country that has worked and keeps working with hydropower.

Other things to note
There is not parking inside the house but, street parking is available.

My dad loved gardening and flowers, from late february to march you can see the beautiful orchids that blossom.
