Take in the night stars with some of the darkest skies in Arkansas as the Buffalo National River is a designated International Dark Sky Park. Located just 5 miles from the Buffalo National River.

The space

The Little Red Farmhouse and Rustic Patio is a place for all to enjoy. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a place to come from a day of floating on the river or just want to escape to the country for some peace and quiet or a little R&R, this small and cozy place will not disappoint. The views are spectacular from inside the Farmhouse and from the large Rustic Patio. There is plenty of wildlife around this farm.

This property is 5 miles from the Buffalo National River - Woolum Camp.
You can enjoy canoeing, hiking and horseback riding. Local river outfitters are just a few miles from this location and can be used to book your river float needs. Download your favorite hiking app to see the best hiking in the area. Woolum Camp is also a great area to just sit by the river and enjoy nature. Pack a picnic and enjoy it on the river bank. You can also go for a swim or fish.
Across the river at Woolum, you may have the opportunity to view elk at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Elk Conservation Area/Refuge. Down from that is a local hiking spot called the Narrows "NARS". The Narrows is a rock ridge that overlooks the Buffalo River. Other area attractions are Shine Eye Campground, Grinder's Ferry and Tyler Bend Visitor Center.

The farmhouse is located on a working farm and owners are on property. You may see cattle and a farmhand or two but don't mind them. Please enjoy the beauty of our farm.

The Farmhouse is fenced off. Guests must stay within the fenced-in area around the farmhouse with all other structures on the property prohibited.

Minimum Stay is 2 nights.

The Farmhouse and Rustic Patio were recently renovated and offers the following to our guests:

A full kitchen with gas stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, ice cube tray and bucket, microwave, toaster, crockpot, wine glasses, plates, bowls, glasses, pots, pans, coffee pot, coffee, sugar and all the basic cooking essentials you would need plus more. Enjoy views from the window above the farmhouse sink.

The Living Room has 2 large picture windows that overlook the beautiful Ozark Mountains and Buffalo River Valley. A smart TV is located in the living room. Please feel free to sign into any of your subscribed streaming services from this device. We do have WIFI. Have some fun playing board or card games during your stay. We also have a few books if you are up for a good read.

The Farmhouse offers 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 with queen beds in each room. Each bedroom has a closet for storage, a console table, night stand, and chair. Both rooms have amazing views of the property and the Ozark Mountains.

The Farmhouse has one bathroom with vanity, mirror and a tub/shower. There is also a large washer/dryer combo in case you need to wash or dry clothes from your active day.


The large Rustic Patio is a great place for a cookout on the gas grill. It is also a great place to sit, visit, and have drinks. Enjoy the awesome views and the peace and quiet of the country. Enjoy eating outside under the patio or you can also enjoy a meal at one of 2 picnic tables outside. If you are looking for some fun or a friendly game of competition, enjoy a game of bags or the ring toss game. Both are provided on the Patio. The Patio is equipped with string lights that can be plugged in.

The night skies are absolutely breathtaking on clear nights. Enjoy star gazing as well as a fire at the firepit. Wood, lighter, and starters for the firepit are provided on the patio.

Please use the Farmhouse and Patio as your home. All amenities are for the use of our guests.

All other structures on property are restricted.

The Farmhouse is located in rural Arkansas on a gravel road approx. 4 miles long.

Please be mindful that our property is in a rural area so city conveniences are 14-17 miles from our property.

Please be mindful of noise and music. It is very quiet and serene out here. Noise travels far. Please have noise down and music off by 11pm. We appreciate your understanding.

Please be very cautious of our Highland Cows and their horns. Please do not attempt to pet them. They are docile and may come up to the fence, but they are comfortable with us and may not be as friendly to visitors.

Please be cautious of the wind when deciding to build a fire. We have provided wood on the patio. If under a burn ban, no wood will be provided and fires will be prohibited.
