Right from the beginning the booking. Process and confirming the booking was easy.

Palm Desert Exploration

Marriott Shadow Ridge is an expansive property. The one-bedroom unit was perfect for my husband and myself. Although we didn't use any of the resort amenities, the variety of activities is great. Would definitely bring a family to this location.

We loved everything about this property. Lovely pools and walking trails. Our deck exposure offered beautiful sunsets. The staff in all capacities was very pleasant and helpful. The location is ideal for trips to Costco, Ralph's, El Paseo and access to Palm Springs and the airport. Definitely want to go back, but for a longer stay. Thanks.

Fun place for the whole family

The booking manager was easy to work with. They helped me get a room when they were overbooked in another building. The property has everything you need. There are daily activities and plenty of pools to stay cool. We never left the entire week except to get groceries. Will definitely be back.

Unit very clean.

Third time booking thru vrbo for this resort and third time we did not get a unit as advertised. The resort grounds are beautiful,great walking but gardeners/ maintenance out about 6:00am. This time of year very noisey and crowded.

Great mother/daughter getaway

My daughter and I enjoyed our time away in Palm Desert. Very cute 1 bdrm 1 bath suite. The only thumbs down was not being able to access dry pool towels at the pool area. However we could call for more towels from our room. We were down near the 4000 series of rooms at the Enclaves.... and it was nice to be near the smaller fitness centre. I would definitely book again. Thanks for a great stay!

Enjoyable stay. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and did not disappoint. It was located in a quieter area of the resort which was nice for this stay. I would stay at that location again although the accuracy in the listing as it relates to imminities were disappointing. When we arrived we were told the restaurant was close for maintenance. We had planned our dinner schedules around the restaurant being available as advertised therefore It would have been nice to have known that in advance as I'm sure the resort knew it was going to be shut-down.....sen

Most disappointing Marriott was experience I’ve ever had

Just to begin… I purposely booked my arrival for Monday, knowing many guests would be checking out. Yep, Alexa confirmed this was in fact the case. I requested a ground floor, with preferably no one above, which was a no brainer bc so many guests had vacated. No problem, last building, back end of property, room 4501. Sounded great, less traffic, less people. The ground leading to the building were maintained very nicely, however, I should have known, upon pulling up to our building, that something was off. Terribly off. The first hint? ALL the maintenance vehicles, you know, the atv’s that housekeeping needs to use to get around such a vast property, were all parked directly around and nearby our ground floor bedroom window. And it appears their best and most ideal time to begin work is approximately 5:59 am. Including but not limited to the golf course maintenance workers, directly outside our golf course view unit. Not only did we score on the maintenance/golf course clamor, we also got the room that is DIRECTLY attached to the staircase, for ALL guests accessing the 2nd and 3rd floors. That meant, joy of joys, we got to hear the glorious sounds of luggage wheels, wood clad shoes, horse hooves and who knows what else, ascending and descending the stairs, at all hours. The best part was the soccer/football/ping pong match going on in the room above, because Lord knows how absolutely vacant the building was, so wouldn’t want anyone to feel lonely. So much more…NR

The Mariott Shadow Ridge resort is a tranquil, picturesque property built around beautiful golf courses. We stayed in a ground floor "villa" in the Enclaves II development (“villa” translates to “suite”) in the 4200 building. The golf course outside our room was closed during our stay for reseeding, but the view was spectacular and relaxing, literally right outside our large sliding patio doors. Spent a relaxing morning outside on the patio watching birds of all types (hummingbirds to flocks of geese) and relaxing with a book. Some road noise was evident from a road just outside the property, but it wasn't terrible. The suite had a beautiful bathroom with a large shower, two vessel sinks, and mirrors with integrated lighting. The TVs (one 40” and one 60”) use your cell phone to control them by scanning a QR code on the screen, which pairs your phone with the TV and opens the app; conventional remotes are also available, but you will have to hunt for them (look near the table lamps). The property was clean and well maintained, with plenty of amenities which we did not really use - but they were there, and they looked good. The staff on site were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. There are enormous art-installation-type concrete sculptures of desert animals throughout the grounds near the buildings, and they are very cool - a giant (and I mean giant!) snake, for example, winds its way down one of the walkways - so cool. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I would stay here again if I wanted an affordable place to stay in Palm Desert. The hosts made everything clear and easy, facilitating everything seamlessly and invisibly. An excellent first experience with this host and this facility. Note this is not a high-end, 5-star resort, but our stay was seamless, smooth, and overall this was a great experience, hence the 5 star rating. Highly recommended.

The Marriott never disappoints

We have stayed at this property many times (we're actually owners). For this stay, we extended our ownership week by booking a second week through VRBO. Vacations Simplified made it very easy to find the size of unit we wanted. And of course, the check in process with Marriott was very easy. If you're looking to stay at one of the Marriott Vacation Club properties in Palm Desert, using Vacations Simplified is a good way to go.
