Welcome to this charming family mountain cabin nestled in Estes Park's peaceful Sketchbox Lane neighborhood. This well-appointed two-story retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience, with Rocky Mountain National Park adventures just minutes away and downtown Estes Park easily accessible.
The cabin creates that authentic mountain atmosphere families love. The open-concept design flows seamlessly from the fully equipped kitchen to the cozy living area, centered around a stunning stone gas fireplace. The Solitude HOA is a quiet neighborhood of vacation cabins near Lake Estes, just a few minutes from downtown Estes Park. This is a peaceful, family-friendly resort community. It encompasses 45 standalone cabins, a main lodge with 7 hotel-style rooms, and a meeting space/gathering area. The grounds cover 9 acres and back up to wild forest to the east, so wildlife frequent the neihgborhood. Lake Estes has a great walking path around it and is about a 5-10 minute walk from the property. Solitude is only a few minutes by car to downtown Estes Park.
You will need a car to really enjoy your time in Estes Park, though the town's free summer shuttle does have a stop in the Solitude neighborhood. That shuttle runs from July to September and will take you to downtown, and from there you can take other shuttles around the Estes Valley.
NO SMOKING, NO FIRES
This home was a few miles away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago. This is now a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits (now illegal in Estes Park's vacation homes). Charcoal BBQs are banned. Gas is OK.
ROAD CONDITIONS
Estes has a great plow team and our parking area will also be plowed during storms, but if there's a huge blizzard, they may not be plowed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4WD when visiting us from October to May. We are at 8,000 feet and this can be a snowy area!
