Unresponsive, Unpleasant, Unsafe
Here are the facts:
1. Upon check-in at the property, we were not given the apartment we booked online. The agent told us that there was a “problem” with the one we reserved, so they were “upgrading” us to a penthouse.
2. During the entirety of our stay, the AC in the main living of the penthouse did not work. We alerted the property manager on the first day of our stay and was told they would send someone to fix it. No one ever came to fix that problem.
3. On our third day, the electrical power went out to the entire 2nd floor of the apartment, and the AC went out in all of the bedrooms. We notified the manager and this time they sent someone who was able to temporarily fix some of the problems.
4. Around 11pm, the previous issues were back. I tried to contact the manager and did not get a response. I then called VRBO support who was able to reach the property manager who told them they would send someone out “shortly”. No one was ever sent.
Eventually after some back and forth we packed our things and left the property to find other accommodations in Punta Cana.
Bottom line is this… we didn’t get our original apartment because there were “problems”. The supposedly upgraded penthouse had electrical and AC issues throughout our stay. So that’s at least two of their properties that aren’t rentable. Are you willing to take a chance that yours will be ok??? Given the unresponsiveness, electrical, and safety issues, I would not recommend this property.
