Country Stay on the Creek- perfect for couples!

As the only tenants on the property, this stay will be the best of every world. The container itself is extremely private and surrounded entirely by trees. Enjoy exploring, sitting by the fire, and fishing along 200 yards of live creek frontage. We are 15 minutes from rodeos in Stephenville, 15 minutes from shopping & unique eats in Hico, and 15 minutes from Fossil Rim & Dinosaur Valley in Glen Rose. You can't beat the accessibility to these locations, all while enjoying the country!

The space
The container home is equipped with a king size bed, full bathroom, sitting area, and kitchenette. The kitchen has all your basic needs for cooking, including a two burner cooktop and an air fryer. A coffee maker, coffee, and creamer are provided for your convenience. There is WiFi provided. The smart tv swivels into both the bedroom and the living area. Outside the container home, you will find a sitting area and fire pit under hanging lights, as well as a recently added stock tank pool for when the days get hot! We also supply an electric grill for your use. You will have access to a second fire pit seated under our historic chimney. Duffau Creek runs through the property and is just a short walk down the hill from the container. We supply a fishing rod and bait (located in the well house). The creek is full of carp, bass, perch, and small catfish! You are free to explore the entirety of the property.

We do allow dogs for an additional $50 fee per pet. No cats. Dogs are not allowed on the bed or any of the furniture. Must pick up all poop. Dogs must stay on the property, not on adjacent property at all.

*Wildlife Notice*:

Our property is located in a beautiful natural setting that is home to a variety of wildlife, including spiders, snakes, deer, and wild pigs. While encounters are uncommon, they are possible. For your safety, we recommend keeping a safe distance from all wildlife, wearing appropriate footwear outdoors, and keeping doors closed to prevent animals or insects from entering the home. Please do not feed or approach any animals, and supervise children and pets at all times. By booking, you acknowledge the presence of wildlife in the area and agree to take reasonable precautions during your stay.

We, the homeowners, are not responsible for the natural wildlife or any harm they may cause to guests. By submitting your payment to rent our container home, you indicate that all guests in your party understand the risks, and that we, the homeowners, cannot be held liable for personal harm resulting from natural wildlife.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entirety of the property.

Other things to note
This space is ideal for two people, however there is enough space for a pack & play. We do not provide a pack & play, but it is doable if you would like to bring a small child. The couch folds down into a futon, however we do NOT advertise this as a sleeping space (it's fairly firm) and don't have sheets specifically for this.
