Unsere Ferienwohnung liegt in der zentralen Pazifikregion von Costa Rica an einem großen Sandstrand. Schöner und wilder Strand mit Hunderten von Kokosnussbäumen entlang des 14 km langen Sandstrandes. Auf seiner Rückseite eine spektakuläre Mangrove, die für ihre große Vielfalt an Vögeln und Wildtieren bekannt ist.
Das Haus im "mediterranen Stil" verfügt über 2. 830 Quadratmeter Wohnfläche mit 3 privaten, klimatisierten Zimmern.
Einige der vielen Annehmlichkeiten gehören direkten Zugang zum Strand direkt am See, herrliche Aussicht, großes Schwimmbad, 484 Gästehaus für zwei Personen, Grünfläche, Gärten

Costa Rica Beach House

Our family of 5 stayed a week at this beach house and we loved it! We had so much privacy and were the only people on the beach. It is definitely off the beaten path, but worth the drive! Lucy was an amazing host and made us feel very comfortable.

Family Vacation

My husband, I and our 4 kids (3 teenagers and 1 college age) stayed here for a week and loved it! We liked that it is out of the city, we loved being able to go back and forth from the ocean to the pool, and the property is very well maintained!!

We had a fantastic stay at this beachfront property! The house is exactly as described – spacious, clean, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. Having direct access to the beach was incredible. We enjoyed our walks along the shore and afternoons lounging by the private pool.The location is peaceful and quiet, with plenty of privacy. One of the highlights was the natural surroundings – we regularly saw monkeys in the trees and heard birds all around. It really felt like a private paradise.It’s also a great home base for exploring the area. We took easy day trips to Manuel Antonio, waterfalls, and other local attractions, and always looked forward to returning to this calm, beautiful retreat.Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet, nature-filled escape with easy access to some of Costa Rica’s best sights. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful vacation property-just as described and more!

Villa Mar Lago is a comfortable, spacious, well kept beach front villa...exactly as stated and shown in the VRBO pictures. Lucy and Luis, the onsite caretakers, are a pleasure in every way...from the property condition to the meals Lucy prepared, their helpfulness and kindness is much appreciated. Lucy and Luis take the best care of the property and were most welcoming upon our arrival to the villa. The beach is secluded and private black sand with a beach front palm frond umbrella and hammocks strung between the palms by the beach. The villa was clean, the beds comfortable, sleeps 8 comfortably in 3 bedrooms each with its own bath and a separate cabana with kitchen/LR area with a 4th bedroom. Birds and monkeys can be found in the trees, a local restaurant 5 km back toward town offered great meals as well. Quepos is about 50 minutes away, Parritas 20 minutes for groceries. For a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation, stay at Villa Mar Lago. We would definitely return some day!

This property is beautiful, ocean on one side and a river on the other. The property is very well maintained and the hosts (Lucy and Louis) were amazing. This place has 3 bedrooms which all have there own ensuite. A separate building with king bed, kitchen, bathroom and sitting area.

Private and perfect beach stay!

This home is perfect for those who want to have a private getaway. Off the beaten path…literally off dirt road, but once there you will have all the amenities in this gorgeous, sprawling home. On the beach with large pool. Lucy & Luis make the stay comfortable and informative. Coconut drinks in the morning, pointing out monkeys and birds on property and making a traditional Costa Rican dinner upon request. Couldn’t be happier with our stay and highly recommend this property!

Amazing stay

There isn’t enough words! The house, location, pool, beach were all perfect! Lucy and Luis are amazing! We made lifetime friends with them. They are sweethearts, so helpful, brought us coconut water, showed us the fruit trees, got us to see the monkeys, and Lucy cooked some delicious food for us. We would definitely stay here again !!!!

Great Place to Stay

We really enjoyed staying at this location. It is a little bit off the beaten path, but that is also part of its charm. The house was very clean and comfortable. Luci and Luis are the property's caretakers and they are wonderful. They know just how to be warm and welcoming while still allowing you your privacy. They brought us coconut water and let us know when we could see monkeys at the property.

Great place to unwind

Couldn’t have chosen a better place to unwind. Last part of the road is pretty rough but once you get there, Luis and Lucy take excellent care of you. Very warm caretakers and they are there for every need - which we hardly had. They even treated us to fresh tender coconut water and juicy pineapple slices. We had a nice catered (paid) meal made by Lucy. Beach was great though the kids couldn’t go deep in, due to the scare of riptide signs. They simply loved being in the pool and enjoying the place.

Wonderful relaxing stay

We were greeted my the smiling faces of Luci and Luis. They showed us around and told us how to contact them for any questions. Luis brought us fresh coconut water! Luci was a gem. She showed us how to prepare our fresh fish, make pantacones, and other helpful hints. We enjoyed the pool and hammocks by the beach. The info regarding thebdistance to the nearest store is very accurate so beingbwhat you meed! Hope to stay h We here again.

Secluded Beach Vacay

Great experience for a relaxing getaway. Lucy and Louise were truly exceptional caretakers and made it so memorable for us, from coconuts by the pool to their kindness and excursion recommendations. Brisas del Nara horseback tour and rainmaker was great, but Manual Antonio overrated. My fav of all was the Iguana Chocolate tour I would recommend this 100%. The only issue is this house was so remote and secluded it was hard to get to any of the other parts of costa rica or do much else, it’s good to relax but not for adventurers. Thnx for a fun stay!

Lusi and Luis the caretakers were AMAZING! beautiful and comfortable home for six of us, pool was great except for lights & hot tub not running. The restaurant down the road some 15 min was excellent. Sandy gravel road to house is between a 15-20 min ride but then you have a gorgeous view and privacy.

Amazing home and property!

Pictures do not do this property justice. It was stunning. Communication with the owner was great. We arrived to the caretakers greeting us with smiles and coconuts. The home was immaculate. The beach was quiet and the sunset was beautiful. The neighborhood dogs came to visit and my children enjoyed this very much. We were missing our dogs at home. The caretakers of this home made our stay so much better. They were kind and came to get us when a family of monkeys were playing. We fed them fresh fruit and it was an amazing experience. The store is a good drive so I would recommend getting what you need before you arrive. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer! I didn’t want to leave. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay and relax, away from tourists this home is perfect for you.

Beautiful and Secluded Villa on the Pacific

We had an amazing stay at Villa Mar a Lago! Communication with Maria was great. The home is in a picturesque tropical beach setting. The beach is nearly empty all the time, despite there being a very small resort right next door. The villa and casita were immaculately cleaned and had anything you would need for a week's beach vacation. The pool was clean and warm, so much so that it felt like a hot tub in the evenings. We walked the black sand beach for miles during the vacation and it never got old. The property caretakers, Lucy and Luis, were such a major added bonus for this rental! They are amazing people and didn't let the fact that our Spanish is limited, hinder talking with us. They were there for our party whenever we had a question or needed anything. If you are looking for a secluded beach vacation that is off the beaten path with great amenities, then this is the place for you! P.S. We did easy day trips to Jaco, Quepos and Manuel Antonio, so it's not that far off the beaten path.

Home review

Great house, very comfortable. well appointed. The property is a bit isolated . which is fantastic if you like having an entire beach to yourself. It takes about 20 minutes of driving to get to the main road, but we grew to appreciate the drive. One of the best parts of the property is Fran, Kattia and Israel, the caretakers. As there was no internet service they were great about recommending people to take us zip lining, surf lessons etc.. The only complaint we had were the mattresses in the two main bedrooms rooms could stand to be replaced. Both my wife and I had sore backs by the end of the week. Even our teenage daughters noticed it. But that was a minor inconvenience compared to the location and condition of the house. It was quite special and this is my 4th trip to CR. I think we have found our spot in the sun with this house and will most definitely be back here again.

Great beach villa

It is always difficult when looking at Vrbo listings to tell if a villa is the right one for your family. The listing for the villa is accurate; everything it said we should have available to us was as described. The three bedrooms each had their own bath and balcony access - plenty of space!!!! Absolutely perfect for our group! The living room couch was exceptionally comfortable. We cooked most of our meals at the villa using the kitchen in the villa as well as the kitchen next to the pool so we didn’t heat up the house. This was a great option for us! The caretakers are very friendly and assisted us when we had questions. They even let us know when some monkeys came through and we got some great pictures. We tried fresh coconut water, mangos and limes grown on the property. Lucy cooked us a traditional dinner and we enjoyed watching her cook it as much as eating it. If you want to communicate with the caretakers and don’t speak Spanish you’ll need to use google translate. This worked just fine for us! The grounds are kept very very clean. We walked the beach every sunrise and sunset. Very few people and we usually had the beach to ourselves. This villa is a bit off the beaten path but signage makes it easy to find and if you love the beach, it could be the one for you!

If I could give 6 stars I would

This amazing property is everything advertised and more! A beautiful 3 bedroom, Master en suite with King bed, guest en suite with two queen beds, guest en suite with Queen bed, meant plenty of room for everyone. There is additional ’casita’ with a full kitchen and king bedroom, Full, well equipped kitchen, large dining table and comfortable living area meaning we never got in each others way. With on-site caretakers, Lucy made certain we were well taken care of The house, however, is not the star! The VERY large pool and hot tub were expertly maintained by caretaker Luis. The pool ‘cabana’ has a fully equipped kitchen and propane grill. Lucy graciously cooked Tico breakfasts for us several mornings (tipping is appropriate). We spent many hours poolside, fully enjoying our time there. With an expansive beach less than 100 yards from the house, why go ANYPLACE else? I would walk the 2 plus miles to the end of the beach and would very rarely see another soul…. Where else can you walk on the beach in total harmony? The ocean is pretty wild here at low tide you have 200 yards of rolling waves to enjoy, however, warnings of riptides are present. The sand is dark and sparkles complete with sea life. Sunsets are STUNNING and enjoyed by the few neighbors on the beach. If you’re nice, Lucy & Luis, who are now family, will surprise you with coconut water, mangos, and MONKEYS! You are 6km down a dirt beach road, but solitude, sweet solitude! Villa Mar a Lago, we WILL be back!

I recommend our house for your vacation to all the people like to have privacy, nature, peace of mind and get away of stress.
Palo Seco is a beach away from the crowded touristic places, where our guests can enjoy and know the costarican real life and enjoy the beautiful nature.
But for a change also is close enough to Jaco or Manuel Antonion.
