Amazing trip

The condo and supplies provided were amazing. I was impressed with the kitchen equipment, storage (Tupperware),coffee filters, and Landry/dish washing etc, little things make the trip easier. The minor improvements would be sharper knives and a drying rack for bathing suits etc. The welcome banana bread, coffee, water were a nice touch. Our stay was enjoying and we hope to be back to your beautiful State and home. Thank you

Great customer service but condo was okay...

My family and I just returned from staying at Honua Kai Resort. This was our second time staying at the resort. The first time, we stayed in a 3 bedroom unit and had an awesome view. While we knew we wouldn't be getting an ocean view this time, the unit could have been better. The furniture, especially the sofa bed, is in need of an upgrade. The amenities could definitely be more generous. It would have been nice to have some hand soap instead of a little bar of soap for the entire week. The kitchen could have been better stocked... needs a coffee grinder, a colander for straining pasta, and more condiments. The wi-fi is extremely slow and the more people who log in, the slower it gets. The main issue we had while we were there was the washer and dryer. Both units did not work... either it wouldn't spin at all or it wouldn't dry our clothes. Maintenance was called and a few days later, they came to switch out the motor. But the maintenance guy told us, the washer and dryer are both really old, at least a decade, and really needs to be changed out completely (given the number of people who rent the place). But the owner chose to only change the motor. Despite this inconvenience, the customer service at Maui Resort Rentals was fantastic. They offered to have our clothes washed off site, which we took them up on their offer twice. They replenished our wet and dirty towels with clean ones and were extremely friendly and helpful. So why the 3 stars? I've stayed at a lot of condos in Hawaii and for the amount of money we're paying, especially during the premium prices of Spring Break, I expect the unit to be much nicer. The mountain view was fine but the unit itself was a little dated. In addition, the floors need to be mopped. The day we arrived, the floor was already dusty and not clean. Luckily, I brought house slippers to wear. As for the resort itself, I liked it better the first time I visited. The elevators always seemed to be breaking down. The construction noise from the Westin next door wasn't a problem. Nonetheless, we still had a good time in Maui. Can't complain about being in paradise, right? But I'll be staying somewhere else the next time we visit. Again, big thanks to Nicholas and Chris with Maui Resort. They provided great customer service. The condo's owner needs to invest in some upgrades if he expects to charge premium prices.

You will be pleased to hear that we are now stocking all of our managed condos at Honua Kai with quality hand soap in addition to our standard line of Maui Organics bath amenities. We are also pleased to announce that the internet service in Hokulani 1022 has been upgraded to a blazing fast 300Mbps, so there is now plenty of bandwidth for your whole party. As far as the kitchen amenities, we do not typically stock condiments beyond olive oil, salt, and pepper, but all of our managed condos do come with colanders as part of our standard kitchen inventory set. We will be sure make sure that the Hokulani 1022 kitchen is well stocked. Lastly, we are very sorry for inconvenience surrounding the washer/dryer issues, but you will be happy to know that, since replacing the motors, the washer/dryers are working smoothly. In addition, this unit now has access to Honua Kai’s in-lobby towel tracker kiosks so you can grab fresh beach and pool towels at your convenience and completely skip the hassle of laundering them. Great property for our family of 5!

We stayed here with our 3 teenage kids for 9 days. It’s a great space and loved that the property management company provided shampoo, hand soap, laundry detergent, etc. We needed additional garage bags and paper products and they ran them by the same day we called. The location is great and we loved the beach access. We could snorkel right off the beach and saw sea turtles and so many fish. The condo was very clean and the beds and pull-out couch were all very comfortable. The parking was super convenient too, we had a rental car and left the resort daily to explore the island. Check in and check out was also a breeze. We would definitely recommend staying here to our friends. Mahalo!

Nice Resort, this room was just ok.

This was our 4th stay at the Honua Kai and it is still very nice even during Covid. Hokulani unit 1022 is nice enough on the inside, however, the Lanai isn't great. It overlooks the parking garage, is directly above the loading dock and gets constant road noise from the busy main road below. There is an ocean view off the South end that is nice. We had to keep the doors closed due to the noise. I'd look for an interior room.

It's been almost 28 years since we have been in Maui and what a great return visit it has been. This property was key to a fun filled, relaxing and memory making vacation. It's location was perfect for accessibility to fun and sun, yet quiet and tranquil all at the same time. It had all the comforts and conveniences both in the unit as well as in the resort. I would highly recommend this spacious, clean and nicely furnished unit. There was plenty of room for our family of four with two teenagers! We hope to return and stay here again :)

Marvelous Maui

Once we made our reservation, Maui Resort Rentals immediately contacted us with all the information we needed for a smooth stay. They were fantastic! They continued to contact us to make sure everything was going fine for us. This is just over the top wonderful customer service. The unit was a perfect size, quiet, and wonderful view! All appliances worked, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, immaculately clean, more than enough towels , dish detergent, soaps, etc. I can't say enough good about the unit. Location is perfect....grocery store close by, beach out front perfect, pools fun and clean........Duke's for happy hour and good food. This is a perfect stay.

Leisure Resort

Overall this is a great place to stay with kids. Check in/out was smooth. Location within walking distance to grocery and restaurants. The only things we didn't like about this place is that 1- the tiny dryer takes forever to dry. 2 - You're only given one soap for shower and hand washing. 3 - We weren't told to open windows when cooking. We set off the fire alarm cooking bacon.

Great property

This condo was spacious and had everything we needed. The property management was very helpful and supplied us with everything we asked for. They even called multiple times to check in. It was clean and near the elevators which was convenient.

This is a beautiful condo with a great view. Even when we had issues (wi-fi not working) the property management company fixed it quickly (less than an hour). We will definitely be back!
