Why I chose this neighborhood
219 W Pelton is located in one of Sherman’s most charming and historic neighborhoods. The home itself dates back over a century, and the area reflects that same timeless character: tree-lined streets, classic homes, and a peaceful, welcoming vibe. What I love most is that while the street feels quiet and residential, you’re just minutes away from the vibrant energy of downtown Sherman.

Guests will find the best of both worlds here. In the mornings, you can enjoy coffee at CJ’s Coffee Café or The White Rabbit Coffee House before strolling through Lucy Kidd-Key Park with its fountain and gazebo. For families, Birge Park, Center Street Park, and Binkley Park offer playgrounds, trails, and plenty of green space.

Just a few blocks away, downtown Sherman is filled with personality: cozy restaurants like Sage Café with scratch-made meals, Old Iron Post for a lively pub experience, or Lupe’s World Famous Tamales for local flavor. In the evenings, relax with a glass of wine at Rio to Red Winery or Milieu Wine Bar.

Culture & Shopping
The historic square is home to unique boutiques and shops such as Artisan Market of Sherman, A Touch of Class Antiques, and Spades Vintage Clothing. For culture lovers, the Sherman Jazz Museum and The Sherman Museum showcase the city’s heritage. Looking for a fun activity? Try painting pottery at Pickles & Pottery or team up at Downtown Escape Rooms.

What I enjoy most
This neighborhood is special because it offers a true sense of community while keeping everything you need within reach. It’s quiet enough to relax after a long day, yet close enough to enjoy great food, shopping, live music, and cultural experiences. Whether you’re here for work, family, or fun, staying at 219 W Pelton gives you the perfect Sherman experience.
