Welcome to The Aspen, your cozy Northwoods retreat located near The Gateway Lodge in Mercer, Wisconsin. This charming 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin is perfect for families, couples, or small groups, comfortably sleeping up to six guests. Set among towering pines and overlooking a peaceful lake, The Aspen offers rustic charm with modern touches—with tile throughout with in-floor heating, a gas log stove, and an expanded dining space for gathering after a day of outdoor adventure.

The cabin features a queen bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and two futon sleepers in the spacious living area. The outdoor patio area is a guest favorite—ideal for sipping your morning coffee while listening to loons or winding down with lake views at sunset. A flat-screen TV with DirectTV & HBO, and a DVD player, to keep you connected when you want it.

Mercer is a four-season destination with something for everyone. In the warmer months, enjoy fishing, kayaking, ATV/UTVing, or boating on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage, just steps from your cabin. Hike scenic trails at nearby MECCA Trails or explore waterfalls and wildlife throughout the region. Fall brings brilliant foliage and peaceful hikes, while winter transforms the area into a snowy playground—perfect for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing. The cabin sits right on direct snowmobile and ATV trail access, making it an ideal base for cold-weather fun.

When you're ready to relax, head next door to The Gateway Lodge restaurant and bar, open year-round for hearty meals and friendly conversation (Call bar for updated hours Nov-Dec and March-May as hours are subject to change). You’ll also find boat rentals to ensure a fun, comfortable, memorable stay.

Whether you're planning a summer fishing trip, a fall getaway, or a winter adventure, The Aspen Cabin is the perfect home base for exploring everything Mercer has to offer.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
