We stayed here for a weekend getaway and absolutely loved the comfortable beds, antique furnishings, and comfortable atmosphere. Our hostess answered all our questions ahead of time and we felt very well taken care of. Can't wait to come back!

Love the suite and it worked out perfectly for a weekend get away!

We stayed at Ava House for a weekend getaway with another couple. Pattie was a wonderful host and the pastries she brought us were just amazing! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Cute little property.

This little dairy farm is really cute. The beds were super comfortable and the place was really clean on the inside. I loved the claw foot bathtub! The outside landscaping, fireplace patio and front porch could use a little work. They needed a good sweeping and the cushions needed cleaning. Hopefully, when the spring weather is consistent, it will get cleaned up, because the property is really nice. We would stay here again because the property gives you a little "taste" of the German hill country.

Good location and quaint little suite

The place was close to town and beds were comfortable. Since reading the reviews and seeing that the listing said breakfast was included in the price we were expecting at least some bread or rolls but all there were was some granola bars and 3 small bottles of apple juice. We have stayed in many vacation homes that said no breakfast and they had the same amount of goodies. It was ok, but just expected a breakfast since the reviews and the listing said there would be one. Unless we missed it there was no communication at the suite. Nothing that told us what was expected of us when we left, not even the code for the Wi-Fi. We had to text to find that out. My husband called them and I emailed them the day before we left to try to find directions and how to get into the place. My husbands call was never returned (maybe we didn't have the correct number?) and I finally got a text that evening. All and all it was not very professionally handles. I have to admit it was a cozy little place and I suppose romantic, although we couldn't find any firewood to make a fire, but it wasn't cold while we were there so I guess that was ok. Fredericksburg was a fantastic little German town full of good restaurants and wineries and lots of cute shops and history. We will be returning to the town but staying somewhere else.

Amazing!

We loved this house! The decor and environment is so very nice. Patricia had snacks, baked muffins, juice and water for us, the house had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place to stay. We loved sitting out on the back porch in the evenings And close to town where we spent our days.

Relaxing Weekend Trip

This was my 2nd visit to this property, and I will continue to return. The location is great and the house it self was charming. There many nice added touches that made us feel so welcome. Great Rustic Stay

The Suite was exactly as described. We met one of the Owners, Tava, when we arrived. He was very friendly and shared part of the history of this Bed & Breakfast. On the property there are 5 short term rentals plus the the main house. But there is enough of privacy for everyone. The Suite is unique as it’s connected to the main house. This rental has a main bed and two individual beds. Tava and Patricia have it lovely decorated with whimsical antiques and welcoming snacks. Well located with a reasonable price.

Fantastic stay in Fredericksburg

Everything about our stay was excellent! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and Patricia even left fresh muffins, snacks a fridge stocked with water and juice, and even a bottle of wine. Patricia has 5 rental units on the same piece of land. I hope to coordinate a couples trip with friends in the near future and rent all of the units at the same time.

Heaven in the Mountains

I can't express how grateful we are to Jim and Lisa for opening their cabin to us. It is beautiful! The beds were so comfortable and the best pillows too! The kitchen is amazingly stocked with anything you might need! The property is so pretty, we didn't get to see any bears, but we will the next time we come! We enjoyed the hot tub, hiked the trails, and enjoyed the fire pit (wood provided too.) The communication with them throughout this whole process was wonderful. If you want a place to get away and unwind just pack a bag and go to this place you will not be disappointed!

Great Girls Weekend
