Very spacious house. A little outdated but was very clean and comfortable. Pretty good fishing too. Overall, a great value for bayfront house. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house on Galveston Island. It was just what we needed to relax. The fishing from the dock was fun as well. If it was warmer we would have taken advantage of the pool.

The house was great!! We had a blast fishing off the back and will definitely be coming back for more fishing. We caught black drum, flounder, redfish, speckled trout, and croaker. Had ample room for everyone. Host was very communicative and helpful.

This property was not very clean. I have attached photos. Some of the photos that were previously shared are similar to mine which is sad that they did not choose to make it better. Light bulbs were burnt out and chair cushions were gross and dirty. The patio furniture had nails sticking up and if we didn’t see them, we could have gotten hurt. The patio had rotting wood that made it feel unsafe. When we told the host they didn’t see to do anything other than say it would be better in the future but previous photos from guests make me think they aren’t taking the time to make it better. I wish I was able to add more than 8 photos because there was more than that many photos of things that were gross in the house.

Great, large house with outstanding views of the sunset. Several decks to enjoy the beauty of the water/bay. Fish right outside the back door!! Plenty of room and everything you need. We would stay again!

The house was in a perfect place! Unfortunately we made it in after 8 PM, but other than that it was a great experience, the kitchen & the whole house was very spacious and very clean. We really enjoyed the view and our friends had a good time grilling just a relaxing time. We’ll go back in the near future.

We had a great stay and truly enjoyed our time! The house was the perfect size for our group of 16, plenty of space for everyone. It was clean and well-kept. We did notice a few roaches during our stay, but given the home’s location right by the water, that was understandable. It seemed like they came in from outside, especially since we saw some near the pier as well. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. Just a heads-up: there aren’t many stores nearby, so plan ahead and bring what you need!

The house was filthy. Hair balls in the showers. Stained sheets. Just gross through the whole house. Cleaners were there when we arrived at 4:30pm and had to wait on them. Not sure what the cleaned. The dock is missing many boards and is really dangerous, especially with having 7 kids at the property. Management was no help. We did not stay at the house. It was very unsafe and absolutely disgusting and the dock is a safety hazard. And it’s held up with a strap. We requested a full refund. Beach box does not care about safety or cleanliness. Do not rent with them. Pictures on listing are a misrepresentation of the property.

The location was amazing! However, the place needs some maintenance and upkeep. Front entry had unplugged refrigerator. Upstairs, cabinets had hinges so rusted they were falling off. 2 of the bathrooms near kids bunk rooms the tubs could not hold water, only able to use for showers. The appliances were not that nice and we had to rewash all the dishes because they were put away dirty, for a place of this cost we were quite surprised. Downstairs out back, rusted freezer which is an eye sore and lots of screws and nails all over dock with missing and warped boards. The kayaks had trash and dirty water and wondered why these were not hung in garage and why all the lights outside did not work. I wiped down a couple stairs and it was completely black so a little better cleanliness of the place would go a long way and it would help with the roach issue.

House was okay over all, master bedroom shower floor felt slimey. The most disappointing thing was reading past reviews about the dock in disrepair. Having a strap and a come along ratchet to help support the 2nd floor deck is ridiculous and should'nt even be open to go up and would wobble if you went up to the top not to mention the rails were all loose. Planks are still missing and uneven. A new plank was screwed on but whoever installed it didn't even care to cut it to the right length. Host reached out about property cleanliness and I told them about the planks and they offered to have someone come out to fix the issue but I didn't bother. If it wasnt fixed last year and it still isn't now so i did not bother to reply back. Pool was dirty and nothing to clean it out with, Dead roaches in the ground. This a beach box property which was disappointing.

Great home with great deck! We had a lot of fun fishing. The communication from the host was amazing! They were available at nearly every hour of the day and responses were so prompt (replied within minutes!). Instructions for check-in and check-out were very clear and detailed, and the reminders and offers throughout the trip were very helpful. Wonderful hosts. AC/heat worked well. Neighborhood was very nice and quiet. A few downsides:- There were no towel hangers or toilet paper roll holder in multiple bathrooms (made using the restroom somewhat inconvenient).- Some parts of the deck were worn/damaged making parts of the deck unstable- The house was clean for the most part, but there were some spots that had clearly not been cleaned in a while or were not properly cleaned (especially the pantry)- Since we visited in the wintertime, we would’ve liked thicker blankets. There were only thin blankets availableThese are just minor things that could easily be fixed, and didn't have a major impact on our trip. Overall rating: 4.5/5! Would definitely stay again!

The property is not even close to the condition that is shown in the photos on VRBO. Those photos show the home in a beautiful, fresh condition. Those photos are outdated. The house is shabby and needs some care. We could have looked past it being aged but it was dirty. The first thing was the broken garage door. There was an odor in the living area. The kitchen had spills that had run down the side of the cabinets and spills on the walls, there were dead bugs in the windowsill and on the floor in the corners of the cabinets. The screened porch had a small table with dirt and water spots and a bottle cap. The screens are torn in multiple places. The outside area by the dock was filthy, trash in the corners, rusty fishing rod laying on the ground, water hose sprawled out, the grill was full of ashes and the ash bucket was full, there was a crab net with old chicken still in it. The dock itself is in disrepair with the boat lift strap hanging in the water, bare electric wires hanging out, more crab nets laying on the deck and the area by the fish cleaning station sagging down to the water. I sent the property management company, Beach Box, a message informing them of the conditions and sent multiple photos. I got a timely response. In a brief phone conversation was told they would see about getting the housekeeping crew to come by and they would let me know when that would happen. I did NOT receive a text, email or phone call after that. I have more photos.
