Everything at the resort was great but once we got there, there were hidden fees that we did not know about which we’re over 1000 for our stay resort fee and parking fee that we’re not disclosed

The property and the villa were gorgeous; and we would stay again. Clean, open with lots of space and super family friendly. The kids room was adorable and fun! The vila was stocked with lots of supplies and close to everything. The QR code guide about the property and the villa was useful. The staff was friendly and helpful too. The free shuttle service was great to get to the parks. Too bad the pools and other property amenities close at 8. The nightly fees and parking get expensive. Our flight was late, so the people at the gate helped to check us in although they didn’t have any of our information. Our hot water didn’t work the 1st day but maintenance came immediately. It was odd to pay extra to have the pool heated which was necessary because the water was very cold. The gas grill was wonderful and had lots of seating.

Great stay at Fred's Funhouse (4 room townhome at Village)

The townhome was in a great location for us. Everything was as described. We didn't make use of the resort amenities, but we did see lots of families having fun at the water park and on the ball courts.One minor nitpick, there is only 1 AC unit for a 2 story townhome, so expect the downstairs bedroom and living area to be a little colder than the upstairs bedrooms. One significant nitpick that didn't affect us but could leave you without a place to stay the first night if you arrive late like us and aren't the type to call ahead (like us typically, but luckily not this time). The townhome is at Villatel, and there is no check-in. They email the address on file all of the check-in info, and then the security card reviews that email to let you in and give you a parking pass. Only problem is that I never got the email, but I only knew it was missing because I looked at other reviews on other sites for Villagel stays. Villatel sent the check-in instructions to RoomPicks who did not forward to me. I called Villatel and straightened the reservation out the day of arrival, while guest services was still open, and we had no issues checking in. Had we not called, the security guard wouldn't have let us in, and we would've missed a night of our stay and had to scramble for an alternative that first night. I'm not docking any points because the stay was great and that issue didn't affect us, but I want to be sure you know to call ahead of time & ensure a smooth stay for you.
