Welcome and step back in time enjoy your stay at Chalkboard charm suite in the old Garfield elementary school a memorable home away from home located in Oskaloosa, Iowa. This suite is the first completed, with two additional to be finished in the future!


Garfield Elementary School was the last of the total of six elementary schools built (opened in 1921-22) to serve a particular ward and Oskaloosa, kindergarten through sixth grades, later, 5th and 6th grades only. A consolidation of all the grade schools transformed when a major, brand new Elementary School opened in 2006.


Chalkboard charm suite is on the second floor with keyless entry. The entry deck is your private area to dine outside with table, four cushion, chairs, and shaded by an umbrella. There are several other cushion chairs as well as a lounger. The chef may want to use the propane barbecue grill if inclined to entertain. A great area to relax and hang out with family or friends. Or maybe peace and quiet to read a book or simply enjoy the tranquil solitude. This eclectic accommodation features three eye catching, school theme, decorated bedrooms. Two bedrooms with vivid colors, including a king size bed in each. The third, also private. A full-size bed. The TVs in the king size bedrooms are 50 inches. The full size bedroom, a 42 inch television. There are two large baths bc, each located close to the bedrooms. One has a double vanity, and a clawfoot soaker tub to lounge and read a book or take a bubble bath!The second bath has a large shower with rain showerhead and double vanity, washer and dryer.


Wind down in the evenings by catching your favorite shows on a 55 inch TV with our complimentary Internet access in the almost 500 sq. Ft open concept living & kitchen-dining areas.


The kitchen has up-to-date, stainless steel, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, as well as a pot filler. There is seating for six of the dining room table and an addition for at the kitchen island. The kitchen is fully equipped for your needs. Small appliances are offered if you are likely to cook up a seven course meal! These include a toaster, crockpot, electric skillet, hand, mixer, blender, cannier, cookie sheets, casserole, dishes, other bakery, placesettings, silverware, serving dishes, glassware, wine, glasses, foot storage and other miscellaneous food prep utensils. The kitchen is perfect for interacting with others with the flow into the living room. Solve this equation.! Above the fireplace mantle hangs a 55 inch television to escape into your must see shows, movies, or sporting events. The checkerboard table is set up and ready for a friendly competitive game. Two, just the right size wingback chairs are available to join group festivities or take a power nap.
