Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Best suited for a single traveler or a couple. Amenities were top notch and a welcome change from other not so well stocked properties. Can’t beat the location; 5 minutes to either NMSU campus or Mesilla Plaza. Neighborhood cats were excellent entertainment. Highly recommend this spot!
Small but well appointed kitchen.
Bedroom is cozy.

It was a nice place for an initial visit. The location is a bit off putting but was convenient for my needs. The trains are a bit much at night. I would recommend if you need to stay and are fine with a rustic experience.

The apartment itself was perfect, exactly as shown and squeaky clean. I wish the stairs were more prominent in the pictures and actually listed as an accessibility issue rather than just “wheelchair inaccessible”. I’m partially disabled and terrified of heights, so getting in and out was really difficult. Once up, though, I thought the apartment itself was very nice.

Host was great pretty much everything was great at first, the pictures are a little bit misleading I wasn't aware I would have to be walking upstairs as I am disabled. And the. I was hit with a cleaning fee for my service animal because they didn't approve her. And there was a funny sewer smell coming g out of the bathroom. But overall ok and nice place. And the attic in the bedroom was a little bit creepyThe stay itself was okay, but I had two issues that future guests should know about. After checkout, the host attempted to charge me a pet fee for my trained service animal. VRBO confirmed the fee was not valid and removed it. When the the host agai. Tied a fee again for my service animal claiming it was only 20 dollars for cleaning uo the pet hair.I strongly believe VRBO should better educate hosts on service‑animal laws and their own policies so guests don’t have to deal with unnecessary disputes.There was also a noticeable sewer smell coming from the bathroom during my stay.Overall, the property was fine, but these issues made the experience a lot less comfortable. And I have been stressing about it since because the host co tibues to ask me for the money ey and refuses to acknowledge the fact that Sissy is a working g service animal not a pet.

We want to clarify that we take customer care and guest satisfaction very seriously. We strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for every guest, and we are always willing to address legitimate concerns in a timely and professional manner. At the same time, we ask that guests carefully review and understand the property’s policies and check-in procedures before booking. Check-in is clearly scheduled for 3:00 PM, and contacting us at 3:00 AM regarding check-in or other non-emergency matters is not appropriate. We also ask that guests respect the property’s stated pet policy. The property is listed as not pet-friendly, and guests should notify management in advance if they intend to bring an animal. In this particular situation, the additional fee was not a pet fee or pet deposit. It was an additional cleaning fee necessary to remove pet hair from the property after the stay. We also want to address comments regarding a sewer odor and a “scary attic.” We take maintenance concerns seriously and investigate any reported issues. However, there is no attic at this property, and we did not find or experience the reported sewer odor. We encourage guests to accurately describe their experience so that future guests receive reliable information about the property. We appreciate our guests and value constructive feedback. We simply ask that guests review the listing, house rules, check-in procedures, and applicable fees carefully before booking. Doing so helps ensure that expectations are clear for everyone and allows us to provide the best possible experience.

It was perfect for a weekend while attending the races in Vado. Very clean and the AC was cold! It was nice to walk into a home that had a welcoming scene on the TV and the little fireplace going.

The property was great and we enjoyed our stay. I have to say that the messaging in the VRBO app dropped several messages, some I sent and apparently some sent by VRBO. That is troubling, but does not reflect on the property.

Heart of Mesilla Park Stay

Clean, updated, and equipped unit. AC was cold! Beautiful area. Close to highways, shopping, restaurants, etc. Had issues accessing due to Vrbo not providing access pin, but owner was on-site and let us in. Cooking pans weren’t great quality and food stuck. Sunday morning before 8am loud noise due to weed whacked, mowers, and blowers did not allow for rest. It also left my vehicle full of debris, weed cuttings, and lots of dust. Laundry appliances were used by others during our stay and access door was left wide open to the public while we were out. They also had clothes I had to remove to use then put back after use. We enjoyed our stay and would consider this unit in the future. Thank you host.
