This is our second stay at this cabin. Thoroughly enjoy all amenities- daily use of sauna and hot tub. The large deck overlooking the lake is wonderful. The cabin is spacious and we enjoyed our family time here.

Make S’more Memories Stay

We had a great time staying at the cabin. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, relax and play games. We caught fish everyday. Everything was just as described. The owners always answered questions right away. We highly recommend staying at this location.

Everything we were looking for!!!

This was the perfect place for our family vacation: lots of room for the kids, very clean and spacious, lots of amenities, and the host had everything prepared for us! We felt as if he treated us like his family! We will hopefully stay here again!

If I i could rate this place higher I would! I spent New Year's Eve at this wonderful cabin with my family. And it did not disappoint. First and foremost, the pictures do not do this place justice. It was absolutely beautiful. It really has everything you need. The rooms were spacious and the layout was amazing. We had everything we needed It was all there. From comfy beds, ping pong table, an amazing sauna, and Jacuzzi. The hosts were accommodating and available. If we had any questions with quick turnaround. Do yourself a favor, if you're looking to spend a wonderful weekend up north, this is the place to do it. I can't wait to book another weekend here. Next time I want to go up in the summer where we can enjoy the fire pit in the water! I absolutely can't wait to take a nap in one of those hammocks!

Great property. BBQ grill didnt work but it didnt stop us from having fun. See attached photo of rusted out grill. Other then that no problems. Great cabin! Great fishing. Wonderful damily fun!!! We left a board game "life size sorry"

Cabin ‘25

A great family vacation cabin! Easy check-in, great communication with the owner. This cabin was plenty spacious for our family. There were 4 of us all week and up to 7 for one night with more than enough sleeping arrangements. Kitchen is well stocked with necessities for cooking whatever you’d want. The fire pit was one of the fav features … s’mores every night. The dock was well maintained and convenient to the public launch. Kayaks and canoe were nice as well. The lake was great for tubing and fishing. Thanks for letting us stay!

Excellent family vacation

Exceeded expectations! Everything was as described, very clean, lots of amenities. The cabin was spacious and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Toddler friendly, our granddaughter enjoyed the large deck. The area was quiet, saw deer, turkeys, bald eagles daily. The owner was very welcoming, appreciated the gift basket. Can't wait to return, reserved again in 2025.

A fantastic Property

My family and friends had a great time. The place had enough room for 4 adults and 4 teens. Great fishing right off of the dock. When the weather did not cooperate, we enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna. The host was very communicative.

We had a wonderful stay at Lakeside Haven for MEA weekend! Our group of ten—six adults, four kids, and two dogs—had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy. The home is spacious and well laid out; my in-laws loved the lower-level suite, and the kids were thrilled with the loft area.My son caught plenty of fish right from the shore, and our evenings around the fire pit were a highlight. Everyone enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with its beautiful lake view. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything we needed, and all the appliances worked perfectly. Beds were comfortable, and the property’s quiet, private setting made for a peaceful getaway.The town of Hackensack is just a short drive away and has everything you need—groceries, coffee, and great dining options. We also went grouse hunting nearby; the trails were ideal even if the birds were a bit scarce.Overall, Lakeside Haven was the perfect spot for our family and dogs to unwind and reconnect. We’d absolutely stay here again!

We had a wonderful week at the lake! The house is beautiful. Plenty of space inside and out for our group of 7. The hot tub and fire pit were a hit. The dock was really nice. The steps to the dock are a bit steep but they are new and sturdy - with landings where you can stop and take a break if needed. The house is close to towns if you need something, yet nestled in the trees so you feel removed from everything. The lake had activity, but wasn't overrun with people on jet ski or skiing/tubing. Barry was great to work with, very responsive. We would definitely return.

Perfect 2 weeks!

Our family stayed here for 2 weeks over 4th of July had enjoyed every minute of it! This Log Cabin home exceeded our expectations. The home is exactly as described. The host was very accommodating with our schedule and made sure all our needs were meet and then some! Thank you, Stephanie, for the welcome basket of smores and coffee! We will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful!

The house was perfect for our family vacation! The kitchen had everything we needed and the dining areas inside and outside were ideal for family meals and playing board games. There were plenty of spaces inside and out for people to hang out together or find some alone time when needed. The views were amazing. We really enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and of course,swimming, boating and fishing on the lake. The owner was so welcoming and personable, and had great communication before, during and after our stay. The welcome basket was a really nice touch, and we appreciated and enjoyed the thoughtful items and information on the area. The location was great. We took a day trip to Itasca, hiked the Deep Portage Reserve, shopped in Walker, and truly enjoyed Hackenack...triva at the brewery, the coffee shop, pizza, concerts in the park and Swansons bait...a lot for a small town! A great experience. We'll be back!
