Here's a few common questions and answers about The Residence on Menlo.
Is the Residence a good place for children?
We've had several families stay with us and they've found it perfect for children. There's a large entertaining space in the loft upstairs, and another large space downstairs. The upstairs has a foosball table that has seen some pretty epic tournaments. There is also a a small sledding hill on the side of the Residence for winter fun. Please use caution while sledding! Add yours to the list. After all those games it will be time to figure out where to sleep. The kids have the option of sleeping in two twin beds or queen upstairs. The washer and dryer comes in handy in case of accidents or if the kids just want to rock their favorite outfit every day.
Can we cook at The Residence?
You'll love the flexibility of being able to go out or stay in to cook. Our kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, plates, glassware, utensils. If you're unsure about what we might have, ask us. The gas stove and oven gives you the ability to help you whip up a meal for 8 or a beautiful brunch. You'll have no problem feeding the hungry bears.
We provide a coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave.
Should I bring linens or towels?
Nobody wants to travel with their sheets and pillow cases. Our linens will rival any hotel and our cleaning crew will take care of everything when you leave. We provide linens for all beds, and we ensure EVERY piece of bedding is washed before your visit. We'll also make sure there's plenty of towels for everyone.
What's the television/movie situation?
TV is optional in Big Bear, but you won't miss anything on the 60 inch H.D. T.V. Want to watch a movie? You've got Netflix. Miss your favorite show and want to watch it? Don't worry you can stream almost anything through YoutubeTV. There's plenty to watch, if you want to.
What kind of experience can my pet expect?
We love dogs (check out our pics), and we understand how hard it can be to travel and leave your furry friend or friends at home. As far as activities, we'd recommend you check out some of the hiking trails about a mile from the house. They're sure to tire out even the most athletic pups. Please note we do not allow cats.
