The Friendly City

A wonderful and peaceful 1920 house, with pool, in the historic centre of Bradenton. Walking distance from Old Main Street with its bars and restaurants, this was the perfect home away from home.Close to majestic Anna Maria island and downtown St Pete, the house offered space and tranquility as well as everything a family could need on a vacation. We can't recommend this property highly enough. We will definitely be back!

This is the best stocked rental we've ever been to. The owners are very friendly, welcoming, and responsive. Even before we arrived I had to do some shifting of reservations and they took care of it with no issues. The house was amazing. Very clean, stocked, and functional. It's amazing how many little things had been considered for guest comfort. The property was kid friendly with all of the necessities; toys, games, pool items, etc. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this house.Hope to stay again! Highly recommend

Walking distance to great food and welcoming homey vibe

You walk into the house knowing this isn't just another weekend rental flipper. No stark white and gray kitchen and no gift shop slogan sign tacked up on the walls. The place has a warm welcoming family feel to it and the owners are incredibly generous by offering up their shed of chairs and coolers, a bowl of snacks on the counter, as well as coffee and filters. Communication was great and the pool was heated! Wonderful wonderful stay, we will be back next year!

Beautiful home with abundant space and supplies.

This home had plenty of space and everything our party of seven needed (and more!) It was the most well stocked VRBO we've ever stayed at. They're not joking when they say just bring your clothes/suit and make a quick stop at the store. The location was super convenient, the host was easy to communicate with and we had a great time. We would highly recommend this rental and will definitely stay here the next time we visit the Bradenton/Sarasota/Palmetto/Ellenton area.

Nice location

We enjoyed time with family. The location is convenient to beaches, restaurants, shopping, grocery, etc. The pool was a great way to relax. The time of year we rented was the 'rainy' season for FL, so there were bugs and bites that were a challenge to manage at times (more about the climate--not the rental). Greg and Lori were very nice hosts and stocked the house well with everything we needed.

This home had everything we needed and the hosts were awesome with my last minute booking, early check in and flexibility allowing a sports team to come for meals and a spot to hang when they need a break from their hotel rooms. We grew up in Minnesota and moved to Sunny Florida in 1990. We love boating and spend a lot of time cruising on "A New Hattitude", our 53' Hatteras when our homes are booked. After living on our boat in the FL Keys for 8 years we are very happy to be back in the area full time and are able to recommend/ suggest things to make your stay more fulfilling. Thankfully most of our 4 children and 5 grandchildren are close by so we have good back up for our guests should we be traveling.
Along with this vacation home, we also have a vacation home on Vrbo, "The Palms" across the river in Palmetto. This is a 5bd./4 1/2ba. 3100 sq. ft. home right on the Manatee River with dockage for 2 boats. This home features a living room home theater, family room with French door opening to the river, a fountain, tiki hut and pool. There is also an outdoor kitchen. The magnificent kitchen overlooking the river is well appointed and equipped for large groups. On top of all this is a 2nd floor pool/game room with bar and balcony overlooking the river. So check this out if you need a larger home or would just like to be on the water.

Of course it has the charm and Victorian beauty we have always wanted to own. We really want to give vacationers a great experience with this historical and luxurious property. A taste of Olde Florida you could say with the wrap around front porch, historic paver pool deck and tropical antiques and decor. Plus, you cannot beat this peaceful and quiet area that is still close to The Riverwalk and Old Main St. just 2 blocks away.

Everything is really close for the guests to enjoy, restaurants, bars, live music, theater, galleries, shopping, water sports, beach, etc. As it is one of our homes, it has everything your home would have so it is more like going to visit Mom or Grandma than staying in a vacation rental.
