We had a great weekend at Blackridge Cabin. The property is beautiful, very clean, and up to date. We had everything we needed and more. If you forget something, don't worry, because Kathy probably already has it in the cabin! There are toiletries in the bathroom, supplies in the kitchen cabinets, and fresh farm eggs in the fridge! There is free firewood and supplies to get it started. We enjoyed some of the outdoor games and watching the animals. We will definitely be back!

We booked this cabin without ever having been in the area. It was well marked to find, we were very pleased with all of the personal touches that Kathy so thoughtfully added to the experience. It was well worth th the price and we are so glad we came.

Amazing vacation spot! Will definitely be staying here again. The hosts were amazing. The cabin was BEAUTIFUL. A perfect quiet oasis away from city. 10/10 will recommend to anyone.

The cabin is very nice, the area is quiet and peaceful, we loved our stay in it, and the extras touches they offer made it special to us. Coffee and cream, games to play, firewood for the outdoor fire pit. And it's very near to lots of outdoor adventures at Shawnee National Forest.

This was one of our favorite properties that we have ever visited. It was a cottage surrounded by woods with a great outdoor fire pit and chairs. It is on a farm so you have goats and ponies to feed if you wish. the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. It is the most well equipped rental unit that we have ever seen with everything you could possibly mean.

We loved our stay here! Our 2 young kids (7y & 2y) loved the goats (super cute, and truly the friendliest and gentlest goats we have come across), small swingset, creek, and pond for fishing! There were also lots of toys, books, games, etc. to keep them entertained indoors. We loved it for the animals, outdoor area, and how easy it was to keep the kids entertained! We highly recommend, and would consider returning in the future!

We stayed at Black Ridge for our spring break, coming from West Virginia, and it was amazing! The inside of the cabin was even better than we expected, very clean, and most basic amenities were already provided for! It’s not to far from most places, like garden of the gods and cave-in-rock; and, exploring the forest behind it as college students was great, and we found plenty of things to take home with us.

This property is amazing!!!!!! Loved everything about it! The host was the sweetest! Very quiet rural place. Loved sitting on the porch- both inside and outside watching the birds and just relaxing. Great escape and close to lots of hiking and beautiful scenery! I soooo wanna go back!

We had a great weekend stay! This property was cleaner and more private than other rentals that have other renters close to you. Well stocked with supplies that other places do not provide. Sitting by the fire while watching and listening to the creek below was the best! This will be my first choice for another stay in the area!

We really like this place, it’s the only one we’ve ever gone back to more than once. It’s very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The outside area is absolutely fabulous. The covered porch, patio and fire pit all overlook the confluence of two very small creeks.We use it as a relaxing getaway, but there’s lots of great hiking in the area and the Ohio River is only twenty minutes away.The hosts are friendly and easy to communicate and get along with.

Our family stayed at Black Ridge cabin for a week during spring break. The house is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! We got to play board games on the big dining room table and roast hotdog over the fire pit. We were close enough to visit all of the local parks and yet far enough out that we really felt like we were in nature. All of us enjoyed the buggy ride and our hosts were so kind and communicated very quickly.

This is a great spot to get away from it all and relax. It is quiet, remote and you are on the edge of the Shawnee Forest - beautiful!The cabin is more of a home. The recliners in front of the TV ease your troubles and lets you relax. 20 minutes to Garden Of The Gods - a wow experience.Remember to write down the entry code before you go. There is no internet service until you get into the cabin and log in. There are also no stores or restaurants in the immediate area, so bring some food and drink in when you arrive.Don’t forget to enjoy the animals!

Remote cabin with all the amenities!

We were absolutely blown away by the time and effort put into making our stay as amazing as they could! Getting to see the horses, goats and birds was a lovely way to wake up and start our morning! We will definitely be coming back again!
