Wir laden Sie ein, in unserem wunderschönen Haus am Strand, dem Galveston Sea Star, in der Gemeinde Sea Isle, zu übernachten! Genießen Sie die unglaubliche Aussicht auf den Golf, während Sie auf dem Balkon entspannen, oder verbringen Sie Zeit mit Ihrer Familie unten am Picknicktisch, während Sie kochen.

Das Sea Star bietet Platz für bis zu 10 Personen in 3 Schlafzimmern und einem Schrankbett im Erdgeschoss. Jedes Zimmer verfügt über einen TV und frische Bettwäsche auf den Betten. Das Wohnzimmer bietet einen spektakulären Blick auf das Meer sowie einen einfachen Zugang zur Küche. Das Erdgeschoss verfügt über Holzböden und die Küche bietet Arbeitsplatten aus Granit und Geräte aus rostfreiem Stahl.

Der Strand ist autofrei (mit Ausnahme der gelegentlichen Stadtstrandbeamten), was den Eltern mehr Sicherheit beim Spielen Ihrer Kinder gibt. Das Haus verfügt über eine Außendusche, einen Picknicktisch und eine Schaukel für 2 Personen, schnelles Breitband-Internet, HD-Fernseher, Blu-Ray-Player und einen geräumigen Essbereich. Der Handyempfang in der Gegend kann schlecht sein, daher gibt es auch ein Festnetztelefon, mit dem Sie Ihre Freunde und Verwandten anrufen können.

Ihr Aufenthalt beinhaltet den Zugang zum gemeinschaftlichen Tennisplatz, zum privaten Angelsteg und zur Fischreinigungsstation. Sie haben auch die Möglichkeit, einen Pass für den Gemeinschaftspool von Sea Isle zu erwerben. Der Hangout liegt nur 1,6 km entfernt und verfügt über ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant und eine Bar.

Great house, awesome stay

My family has been staying in this house for a week in the summer on and off since it was built in the 90s.This trip had a couple hiccups that were resolved quickly. I let the property owner know that we started getting a some ants in the house (this is unavoidable in Galveston) and there was an exterminator there literally in less than half an hour. We didn't see another ant the rest of the week. I was grateful and impressed with how quickly the owner responded and fixed the issue. I was honestly expecting ant traps and they sent an exterminator. Well done there. Then, we accidentally left some books in the house, and the property owner mailed them back to me. Also, loved that there was no crazy chore list before checking out. Overall, I was really impressed with the condition of the house and the responsiveness of the owner. I love the location (Sea Isle) and will definitely return in future years.

We enjoyed this lovely house, with a short walk to the beach. It was spotlessly clean and communication with the property manager prior to our visit was good. My only complaint is that we ran out of toilet paper in the master bath, and there wasn't a spare roll to be found anywhere. Overall, a minor problem.

Sea Star has it all

This cottage is comfortable, they’ve thought of everything…very well stocked. Great view and ocean breezes from the deck. There are lots of beach toys. Can’t say enough good things about The Sea Star. Thank you Rhodes family for a well planned house for your guests.

Very nice house. Everything you could possibly need. Plenty of towels, paper goods, soap, cleaning supplies. I was surprised by everything available. Beach view was great from very nice deck. We enjoyed our stay so much!

The tv in the bun room wouldn’t work so some of the kids wouldn’t sleep in the bunk room because it was too dark. Bought food to grill as it states there was a grill that could be used but it was coated in rust so we couldn’t grill. I didn’t love that the checkout was at 11 because of the instructions for check out including doing the laundry, dishes and stripping the beds. That didn’t really leave anytime to just vacation and enjoy the family today.

We loved it here

My family of 5 stayed here, and we loved it. The location was perfect. Even being there during the weekend, there were no crowds and we also liked how no cars were allowed on that stretch of beach. The house had everything you could need and more. It was our first time to the beach as a family and we are looking forward to coming back. We plan on booking this house again if avaliable . ,

This is our 2nd time renting

We loved this house last year. The location, the layout, the space and access to the beach is wonderful 👌 The only sour note, there were gnats coming out of the kitchen and upstairs restroom. They were extremely annoying. I called the phone number on the frig and I never received a text or phone call back.

Good place for families with young kids!

This property is great for families with young children. It has direct beach access and the upstairs is ideally set up to have parents in one room and the kids in the bunk room across the bathroom. They even had kid stuff in the house and safety rails for the top bunk. The house is one of the most well-stocked that I have seen which made life easier. They had several rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, hand soap, trash bags, (even baggies!), shampoo and conditioner, a good amount of beach towels and bath towels, as well as plenty of blankets and pillows. The kitchen had everything we needed. The garage downstairs had boogie boards, a tent for the beach, and sand toys. The tent is great so you don't have to haul yours. Two things to bring with you that they did not have: 1) A baby gate if you have toddlers. The deck does not have a gate to close it off from the stairs to the beach. We often had to figure out a way to block the steps from my 20-mo. 2) Beach chairs. There were plenty of kid chairs, but there were none that could fit an adult. We had to go buy beach chairs or we would have had to sit on the sand the whole time. The 4-star rating is due to communication with the host. We went the first day of a tropical storm. I sent a text and message through the app verifying the property was still accessible and not flooded out. We did not hear back about it until a day before our trip was over. Luckily we went anyway and took the risk.

Terrific location, nice property!

The Sea Star property on Sea Isle is excellent. The house is in great shape, plenty of kitchen supplies and gadgets, and lots of room in the house. The unobstructed beach views and access are perfect. Since this property is on a "no-drive" stretch of beach, the beach was practically deserted during our stay...it was perfect for what we wanted. Communication from hosts was good and they were quick to respond to important questions. We will come back to this house again.

Perfect Place

We absolutely loved our stay! The property was clean and offered a fully stocked kitchen. Beach towels and other perks that makes the trip stress free! The location is amazing and beach access a breeze. Wonderful Beach home for family vacation!!

This was our second time to stay and it is the perfect place for our family. The access to the beach is amazing and the home has plenty of room for all ages. The kitchen is well equipped for us to make meals and enjoy them at the large family table or outside on the deck. The shower downstairs is a nice amenity to get all the sand off before heading into the house. Sea Isle is a great place, not crowded like the east end but close enough to drive in to explore Galveston. By far one of our favorite homes we’ve stayed in!!

Ants, Dirty Bedding & Mattress, But Great Location

We stayed 15 nights in May 2023 at Galveston Sea Star. With so many 5-star reviews you would expect this rental to be perfect and “in pristine condition” as described in the listing. However: Toilet has black, disgusting caked-on crud. Grime on cabinets and doors ANTS in kitchen, dining area & on the wall. Many ant bait traps set in the kitchen. Due to ants, I emptied a cabinet, cleaned it out and sprayed RAID that was already at the house. Open food packages need to be tossed. King mattress has a big yellow NASTY stain! I covered it with a folded throw that had already been left under the mattress pad. King mattress pad had stains that looked like blood! I washed and replaced. Entire house needs deep-cleaning. Furnishings are as shown in the listing, but no ottomans in the living room. Property has lots of towels, kitchen stuff; the washer and dryer work fine. The drains in the showers are clear. WIFI is great, cell phone reception is iffy and TV does not receive local stations, but you have access to plenty of free movies. Thermostat keeps the house at the desired temperature most of the time. This was not our first time renting a beach house. This house is beautifully furnished – just not adequately kept up. Cursory cleaning between guests is not enough. Owners need to hire a professional to get rid of the ants, throw out the foodstuffs, replace the king mattress and deep clean. Then, the Galveston Sea Star will be an EXCEPTIONAL rental “in pristine condition.”

Rick and Tina met back in the 1970s while attending the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. We have spent our working lives serving rural communities with limited access to health care. Dr. Rick is a small town doctor who specializes in making house calls to elders, and Dr. Tina is an occupational therapist who works with special needs children in country schools and is a university professor. Paul and Rose work in engineering and human resource management in California. Lily is in high school and looking at colleges! After being away for so many years, the whole family is enjoying being back in Galveston.

We chose this property because it is located on a beautiful wide swath of beach, has plenty of open space on all sides, and it is within an easy walk of the local convenience store. Because it is a part of a homeowners association, we also have access to a swimming pool and private fishing pier.

In addition to being ideally situated on a car-free beach, this house has a large, secure storage area containing beach and barbeque tools, and a variety of useful supplies. The house is in pristine condition and has two twin bunk beds, one queen bed, one king bed, and a comfortable new full-sized Murphy bed. The kitchen is well appointed, and the living area and bunk bedroom have new HDTVs.
