Relaxing stay! Just what was needed

Had a fun week at this property. First time not staying on beach but wanted to try a place with a private pool. We really enjoyed the pool daily, made stay quite relaxing and stress free. Owner was in contact whenever needed and was great to work with.

Beautiful house and area

The house is beautiful. The pool is my favorite thing, but the house was large and open, and very clean. The location was great - so close to the beach and good restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. It is also close to a Publix, which was real handy.

Owner very hands on and full of input of things to do around the area.

A little noisy with highway traffic but nice. Very well equipped with a pool, bikes, beach equipment, outdoor grill, and wifi. Close to the bike lanes that will take you anywhere on the key.

We had a great time on our visit at this residence in Siesta Key. It's close to everything and the house definitely met our expectations. The pool is awesome and it was nice for me and the kids to be able to jump in 24/7 if we wanted to. Loved our stay and hope to be back soon!❤❤❤

Relaxing Vacation

Enjoyed the pool area, clean and private. It was a real advantage being able to park in the garage every day, this saved time in loading and unloading and was much more convenient in general than most rentals. Communication with the landlord was smooth when some small issues cropped up.

Everything needed

Our check in process was so easy. The owner was fantastic and met us at the house and gave us a quick overview. They were able to be reached at any time and responded to questions very quickly Really appreciated all the videos and suggestions of places we might enjoy. We had an amazing honeymoon here!

We searched high and low for the perfect rental to spend our honeymoon at and Joni's house did not disappointment. Every night was spent sitting next to the pool relaxing. The neighborhood was quiet and close to everything we wanted to do. The beach, shopping, downtown Sarasota, etc. Joni was always sweet, accommodating and responsive. The house was clean and had everything we needed!

The most beautiful beaches I've seen!

Our visit was amazing! Joan was fabulous! We did so many of the things she sent us. The beach was beautiful. I definitely suggest kayaking the mangrove tunnels and the surrounding area to see the dolphins and manatees. The Marie Selby botanical gardens were beautiful as well. Get an early lunch, enjoy the pool, and go out and do some more while everyone else is eating. Don't forget to take a midnight swim as well. We had a great little get away here and will be back.

The property is kept up well by the owner, but due to some unexpected maintenance needs that were being addressed while we were there, we did not have the usually expected degree of privacy. The owner was apologetic and endeavored to minimize the inconvenience. For our convenience, on a future trip we would look for a property closer to the beach.

Great last minute getaway

This was not our first stay in Siesta Key but it was our first time staying somewhere that wasnt directly on the beach, and we booked later than we normally would have. The price was great, the check in process was very smooth and the host even met us at the house despite being delayed on our flight to ensure we had everything we needed. The house was very clean and the pool was wonderful, and especially given how warm its been and that we were there during an unfortunate no swim advisory at the beach. The hosts were very responsive and attentive to all our needs, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time.

Nice Place to stay

I would have given a 5 star rating if we would have had more control of the thermostat. 74 degrees was the coldest is would go and within and hour or so would go back up to 78 degrees. I was also a little put off about the no shoes policy due only one room in the house had carpet and it was not necessarily "nice" carpet. Overall though it was an nice place we enjoyed ourselves a lot.

Great location in Siesta Key

Home was only a few minutes from Siesta Key Beach so no traffic issues going from/to the beach. Home has retro decor and appliances but everything was in working order. Outside grill was new. Missed that the pool wasn’t heated but we still used it at least 3 times over two weeks in February (pool temp low 70’s). Would’ve preferred to see the rental agreement online when reviewing the property vs at check in time which made us a bit nervous over some language, but everything worked out OK, and full deposit returned.

Location is great

The location is perfect. Only a mile from the beach. The house was clean and comfortable enough with everything you need. A couple of downfalls that brought down my rating was the AC thermostat was locked and controlled. We were definitely a little warm at times. The previous renters broke glass by the pool and there were little bits of glass everywhere (hard to notice and clean up because the patio surface is pebbled). At check out, the owner showed up early to start outdoor work. She alerted me but it felt a little intrusive since we had about an hour left until check out. Overall, owner was very nice and helpful with activities, restaurants and making us feel at home. Again, overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Love Siesta Key, Sarasota

The house was adorable and had plenty of space for my husband, me, and our two children. It was great that the owner provided the basics like linen, soap, trash bags, etc. The pool area is beautiful but unfortunately was too cold to use (the first week of April). I had a work conference to attend in Sarasota and the location was convenient. The beaches were a quick drive away, as well. The only thing that could have improved our stay would have been the ability to adjust the AC ourselves. It seemed to be remotely locked and at times would be 78 in the house, though was cooler in the evenings. Also, resigning a contract for the rental on arrival was no issue, but I was a little surprised individual photos of all of us were taken including our 1 and 3 year olds. Overall we were pleased with our stay and will come back every spring as we have to the Sarasota, Siesta Key area!

What a perfect getaway! So much fun and the house was perfect!

Normally we opt for the condo on the beach, but took a risk on booking a house "near" the best beach in the country. From the minute of booking, Joni (owner) was extremely friendly and helpful with supplying information about the location and how to get the most out of our vacation. She met us the first day and was super helpful with where to go (like groceries), things to do, and when to do them (get to the beach early!). She was very attentive and did check in to make sure everyting was going well. The house was perfect, the pool and the size for our family. The kids loved the space and we felt very safe and comfortable since arriving. The neighborhood is beautiful and great for exploring. The beach is super close and there are many different services available to get there if you don't want to drive. On days the kids didn't want to go to the beach, the pool was perfect with the perfect amount of sunshine- the overhangs were perfect when the sun was too much. The grill, bikes, beach chairs were all awesome to use and made us feel like we were at home away from home. Thank you Joni! It was a great week!

Beautiful house near the beach.

Joni was a terrific host. The house is extremely clean and has everything you need. The pool was fantastic fun for the kids after a day at the beach. Siesta key beach was a 10 minute bike ride or 2 minute car ride. The beach sand is the best. Overall a wonderful stay in a terrific location siesta key. Our kids had a blast. Thanks Joni.

---- We found that most people enjoyed learning where everything is rather than wasting time trying to figure out things, which is why we do notes so you won't be lost. We are available 24/7 by text or phone.

LOTS OF OVERSIZED WINDOWS, a very bright and cheerful house with a private setting. It is just that, a happy house with lots of color and charm. Upon entry, you'll feel it too. The property has been well maintained. Everyone that visits loves it... the feeling is romantic, charming, adorable house from the past, Simple Key Life; the way Siesta used to be when it was the BEST KEPT SECRET from all the world. We've maintained its vintage look. The house was an architect/ builders model back in the '70s. (The house had Only 2 other owners since built )

We are in the middle of both. -----Wake up feeling fabulously rested and excited for the day. Take a run right side other walkers and runners traveling the sidewalk towards the beach. Or, take the bicycles (4) for a ride. Enjoy the entire island. Enjoy the FARMERS MARKET at SIESTA VILLAGE, around the corner on Saturday mornings 8 a.m. until - 1pm.
