Lage, Lage, Lage! "The Beach House" ist ein 1920er Hütte im Herzen von Jacksonville Beach. Nur wenige Schritte vom Ozean und zwei Blocks von der Innenstadt entfernt, wo ein voller Zeitplan von Konzerten, Filmen, Restaurants und Festivals für jeden etwas bietet. Das Herz des Beach House ist die volle Veranda (200 sf) vor, wo man kann, während der Tag beobachten Strandgänger, Radfahrer, Roller Blader, et al. Eine voll ausgestattete Küche, Waschküche, Smart TV, Kabel, Wi-Fi und Vor-Ort-Parkplatz für zwei Autos!

We love this beach house!

This is our 5th stay, and we'll keep coming back. It has everything we need for comfort and enjoyment. We especially love the front screened-in porch, where we watch all the interesting people out walking, riding, dancing, and generally enjoying the warm weather on First Street.

Great place

We took our grandkids ( ages 3-8) for the weekend. Easy short walk to the beach. The house came with beach chairs, rolling cooler and some sand toys for the kids. Toys and games at the house as well. Darlene was very welcoming.

Très bien situé plusieurs restaurants à proximité. Très proche de la mer. Le porche manque d’amour mais l’intérieur de la maison est parfaitement propre et accueillant.

Perfect beach cottage

We loved our stay. In town for Thanksgiving family reunion and loved the old school beach cottage, harder and harder to find in Jax Beach. Literally steps from beach. Clean and comfy and great front porch to sit on and watch the people go by on first street. Book it!

Wonderful stay!!!!

Darlene was an extremely accommodating host. We needed her help on a few different occasions (our own issues) and she could not have been more gracious. Location of house was KILLER! Street a lot quieter than what I pictured from the photos. Charming, old, comfortable beach cottage that had everything we needed and more. Thank you!

Fun location for a festival weekend

We didn't come for the Fin Fest, but found out it was going on the weekend we were here. It was just a block or two away, and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing the music from the bandstand, the happy crowds, and the many folks walking to and from the festival. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed the fun!

Great Spot

Enjoyed our stay here to celebrate the 4th of July. Perfectly located by the beach and we were able to watch the fireworks from the front patio without having to worry about parking or other people. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Wonderful house and location!

This is an old house, but it is wonderfully maintained and updated. Beautiful, specious, and in a great location. Several restrictions within walking distance and two beach access points right across the street. The Jax Beach Pier is also just down the road. If you're looking for a relaxing beach stay that is also convenient to town, food, sopping etc... then this is the perfect house for you! Darlene is also very communicative and will answer any questions almost immediately. She can also reccomend things to do if you are unfamiliar with the area.

Perfect Location for Beach Stay in Jax

We had a great time staying at the beach cottage. It is a perfect location to be right in the mix of things and so close to the beach. The layout is cute and has everything you can think of to use for cooking, beaching, and having a great time!

Charming Florida bungalow

I stayed here with my granddaughter to recuperate for the first two weeks after surgery at nearby Mayo Clinic…the home is charming, with lots of little touches, and Darlene is a responsive and gracious host! Five stars!

What's Not To Like...

This is a great little house for easy access to the beach. The owner has thought of just about everything you'll need or want, and then some. Comfortable bed, very clean, well appointed with more than you'll likely need for a comfortable stay. Off-street parking included. The beach is like most in this area. It can be narrow at high tide and crowded at peak times and/or holidays. But a visit in the morning or evening will enhance the experience. I would rent this property again without hesitation.

Perfect beach cottage

The most charming beach cottage just steps away from the ocean! We enjoyed walking to the beach, to restaurants, and to ice cream shops. We visited the Jacksonville Zoo, which was only about 30 minutes away. My daughter loved skim boarding with the provided skim boards. The house was perfect...we enjoyed the front screened porch in the mornings with coffee and the evenings with a cocktail. It felt more like someone's home than a rental, which is so appreciated. We hope to stay here again and have already recommended this home to others!

Finally the perfect beach cottage!

As soon as I walked in, I knew we were in for a treat. This vintage beach cottage was cozy, clean and very tastefully decorated without feeling trendy. The kitchen cupboards were filled with spices and all the necessary items we would need for our stay. The beds were comfortable too. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch, while people watching and loved being just yards from the beach. We will definitely return.

Historically Jacksonville Beach has served as a 'Summer Home' community to citizens of the City of Jacksonville. My wife grew up in Jacksonville and had fond memories of spending wonderful summer weekends at Jacksonville Beach with friends and family. Since that time we have restored most of the house to original condition (keeping original 1920's hardwood floors inside and on the 200 sq. ft. front screened porch and the original beadboard on the walls and ceiling), while striving to keep the original charm of this cottage.
