Neu im Jahr 2017! Dieses frisch renovierte Erbgut wurde auf der Designseite Apartment Therapy vorgestellt. Das Haus liegt an einem wunderschönen Gezeiteneinzug mit direkter Wasserfront und verfĂŒgt ĂŒber vier Schlafzimmer (alle mit neuen Matratzen), zwei Badezimmer und eine GourmetkĂŒche mit neuen GerĂ€ten, die zu einem Esszimmer mit einem großen Erntetisch offen ist. Das Anwesen verfĂŒgt auch ĂŒber eine schöne Scheune aus dem 19. Jahrhundert mit Billardtisch und restaurierten Vintage Shuffle Board Tisch, sicheren Stauraum fĂŒr FahrrĂ€der und Kajaks. Wir befinden uns an der malerischen SĂŒdkĂŒste von Nova Scotia, nur wenige Minuten von den schönsten StrĂ€nden der Provinz, dem Fluss LaHave und der UNESCO-Weltkulturerbestadt Lunenburg entfernt, die fĂŒr ihren Holzschiffbau und ihre Architektur berĂŒhmt ist.

What a fantastic retreat in this lovely coastal area! A fantastic view, a gorgeous house with the best amenities (especially the mattresses, and the kitchen is to die for!). We felt so cozy and at home here. We’ll most definitely be back to enjoy it again - hopefully, sooner rather than later!

Perfect Vacation Spot!

This property is perfectly located with so many destinations readily accessible by bicycle or a short car ride. But you can also have a full vacation without leaving it. We enjoyed morning coffee on porch, croquet on the lawn, exploring the inlet by kayak, and nights in the party barn. It will surpass your expectations!

everything was wonderful about this stay!!! I want to go once a year! 5 of us, all living in different parts of Canada, could not have been happier with the stay...the house worked for all, the Barn games room was a delight, we watched a DVD in the Chicken Coop, watched Canada geese and deer enjoy the property too, and the location allowed for daily excursions all within short drives and all beautiful beaches or sweet towns. Fantastic mix of old world charm and farmhouse industrial!

The blue house had everything our family of five needed. From mornings out on the water in kayaks to evening games nights or movies, there was always something to do. Lunenburg is the perfect distance away to pop in for a dinner out and explore the town. Shaune and Greg thought of everything in this home. We truly made amazing memories.

The house is beautiful and so comfortable. Our stay wasnt long enough to enjoy the games in the barn. The kitchen was a pleasure to work in and prepare a meal. The dining room table was perfect with space for everyone. Each bedroom was a nice get away at the end of the day.

Wonderful

From the very first second it was perfect. The House is stunning, lovely details all over. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Everything you could need for cooking is offered. The Red Barn was our highlight for the evenings. There’s a shuffle board and pool and darts and Skee Ball!!! Our stay was really nice with the whole family. Lots of memories made! Thank you!

Perfect!

We rented this house for our first full family vacation in 15 years (3 generations). The 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful house (immediately feeling at home), the awesome fun-filled barn and the great location near picturesque towns (Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Chester) and beaches. Perfection!

We had an adult get away to Nova Scotia. Our first time visiting, adults only trip and the property was perfect. It had everything we needed and then some. The property was spotless and inviting. I will recommend this VRBO to everyone visiting Nova Scotia. Just a quick drive to Lunenburg that was the most adorable town with some of the best food we've ever eaten! We had a lot of rain with our stay and spent a lot of time enjoying the chicken coops and games in the red barn! Thanks Shaune and Greg!

Absolutely fabulous!

The owners have thought of everything! The property is beautiful. It had all the amenities one would need on vacation. It’s a very popular place because we have been trying to get in for two years. It’s close to Lunenburg, Blue Rocks, & Mahone Bay. We loved the way the owners decorated the cottage; extremely tasteful. So glad we finally got to stay. You will love the games room and the movie room, absolutely fabulous. You won’t be disappointed. Owners were wonderful to deal with❀

We loved everything about this property rental. The house was beautiful and view from the back porch, gorgeous! The barn with all it’s games was so much fun for children to adults. Spending a week in this picturesque setting; enjoying time well-spent with family and friends; reliving our youth and playing ‘vintage’ games in the barn

Wunderschöner Urlaubsort

Der Kontakt und die Übernahme der Unterkunft war perfekt. Shaune & Greg waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben alles gut erklĂ€rt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sauber und es fehlt an nichts. WĂ€re das Wetter mal schlecht gewesen, hĂ€tten wir auch gerne die Barn mit z.B. Billiardtisch etc. gerne benutzt, oder im seperaten HĂ€uschen Filme per Beamer geschaut. Die Lage am See ist atemberaubend schön - diese Urlaubsunterkunft kann man ohne EinschrĂ€nkungen empfehlen!!

Friends Get Away

Thank you to Greg and Shaune for allowing us to return to their beautiful home! A group of 8 friends thoroughly enjoyed the 3 day get away with lots of down time. A Great Place to Make Memories

My friends and I had a wonderful 5 days here
it’s even better than the photos. Greg and Shaun are lovely hosts
very helpful and quick to respond (even through a hurricane). The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you could need and more. The beds were all so comfortable and the rooms were lovely. We are urban dwellers who love rural escapes, especially Nova Scotia's lovely South Shore. We fell in love with this property the first time we saw it, a diamond in the rough to be sure. The next year saw countless trips and seemingly endless work to restore its charms and modernize it just enough to make for comfortable, memorable vacations.

Our blue house experience comes with its own restored post and beam barn complete with a commercial grade pool table, plenty of room to hang out and a vintage 1962 regulation size shuffle board table. We are also located on a beautiful tidal inlet popular with kayakers, and close to stunning ocean beaches and the LaHave River. The LaHave is the largest river in the province, with a charming and handy cable ferry.
