Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at the Punahele Penthouse. The view and ocean sounds from the lanai were incredible. The condo is in a perfect location to explore Kona and the island. The condo is stocked with everything you would ever need, including beach gear. The condo is cared for by the owners, we felt so welcome it was like we were renting from family. Thank you again, Diane and Brett, we can’t wait to return.

Great Vacation

Beautiful Condo

This is a really nice property. Nice layout on the main floor and a huge loft with a California king bed, a 55” TV and a refrigerator. Nice touches include an air printer for printing with your devices and a terrific smart TV with hundreds of channels and dozens of apps, allowing you to sign in with your credentials to watch from your playlists.The view is fantastic with a full ocean view and a very nice lanai. The loft has a mountain lanai overlooking the pool area.The owners are a dream to work with. Very helpful and accommodating. Only drawbacks are minor. The parking space is a bit tight. I would recommend nothing larger than an intermediate sized vehicle. Also, while oceanfront property, Ali’i Drive is between the condo building and the water and there are bars nearby, both of which create noise that is sometimes annoying.All in all, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect Hawaiian Vacation

We had a great experience with the property. The location in Kona was perfect and had all of the amenities we needed for a perfect Hawaiian vacation. Although the 7th floor condo is overlooking Ali’i, we spent a great deal of time on the lanai (beautiful sunsets and great vantage point for canoe races) and it was very quiet. Highly recommend this property.

Amazing trip

I was very lucky to have found this condo! My mom lived in Kona for 30 years and we come back to visit. Two years ago we stayed at another condo which was lovely, but small. We took a chance on something different and so glad we did. They thought of everything at this condo!! Anything we needed they had. Any question we had they got back right away. The location can’t be beat, in the middle of Alii. I recommend this property to everyone!!

Best Spot in Kona!!!!

We were here for a family wedding. Punahele Penthouse was absolutely perfect for our first trip to Hawai’i from the peaceful early mornings on the mountain side lanai, coffee on the ocean side lanai! Listening to the waves is so relaxing! We saw the King Kamehameha parade from above! Absolutely beautiful!

Can’t Wait to Return

The unit is all that we had hoped for in terms of comfort, convenience and location. The kitchen has everything you need to enjoying relaxing meals on the beautiful lanai. We also enjoyed several meals out at fun places within walking distance. They also have beach chairs, snorkel equipment, coolers, beach towels available to borrow which we very much appreciated. Brett and Diane are a delight to work with.

Everything We Wanted and Beautiful

My family and I loved this condo! Everything from location to furnishings. It just does not get any better. The views from the lanai are stunning! Listening to the waves, seeing schools of yellow tangs and dolphins from the deck, to watching the beautiful sunsets was just amazing. Restaurants and stores are next to the building. The condo is very comfortable and well furnished with everything we needed. We hope to return soon!

Fantastic stay!

Our family loved our second stay at this condo. The lanai is a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee or watching the sunset and everything between! The condo location is great for walking to restaurants. The condo is beautifully maintained and well stocked for a lovely time on the Big Island. We used Kona Style for two excursions Kealakekua Snorkel and Sail and Sunset and Manta Ray Snorkel. Both excursions were fantastic! One great aspect to Kona Style is that you can walk (15 min) from the condo to the boat since it departs from Kailua Bay. If you go to beach 69, we enjoyed malasadas from a food truck which are made to order. They are delicious! I highly recommend this condo for a trip to the Big Island. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perfect

This VRBO exceeded my expectations. It was the perfect location. We took a couple of day trips to the other side of the island and when we got back home we could park the car and just walk to anywhere else we wanted to go. No reason to pay for parking anywhere else because the location was within walking distance to wherever you wanted to go. The place was fully stocked and very clean. Loved that they had inflatables, snorkels, beach mats, etc in the beach closet. They left us a little coffee and macadamia treats. It was just a friend and I staying and I felt we had a lot of room and privacy. So nice! Highly recommend!!!

Beyond expectations!

The views, the location, the amenities - all exceded our expectations! But even more than those, the owners did! This trip was supposed to be an a girls trip (tradition) with my mom, myself, and my 2 daughters. We very unexpectedly lost my mother toward the end of last year, so we still went and brought my husband and dad to celebrate her! Its hard to explain, but the respect and the ease of everything related to this condo made it that much more special! My only regret is npt signing the physical guestbook, as i had intended. Kept putting it off and then forgot! I promise, you will not have any disappointment in this place or the owners! All are pretty special!

Enjoyed stay

The condo was very well equipped with both kitchen and recreational items needed for 4 adults. As the host couple, we prefered the ensuite bathroom so we took the downstairs bedroom, which was fine. Our only issue was the living room TV which was complicated and difficult to use. The sound bar never worked and only one volume level was possible. On Sunday we wanted to watch an NFL game, and we then learned that only the upstairs TV has the full list of Spectrum cable channels including NFL games live. It would be helpful if the owner would pay to allow the living room TV to have the same list of channels which are available on the upstairs TV, which also had a more seamless remote contol operation.

Lovely stay in Kona

This condo was a lovely choice for staying in Kona. The place itself is very nice and well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We were within walking distance and short driving distance to some great restaurants and a snorkel tour launch. We struggled keeping the main room cool (but I am sure we could have worked harder to get that to balance), but the lanai was always comfortable and the downstairs bedroom's A/C worked awesome. Lanai and ocean view/sounds were ideal. The building was not loud and rarely did we hear anyone on the walkways outside the bedroom. Plenty of beach toys were a bonus. The condo was within 45 minutes of a Hapuna Beach Park and we loved it so much we went twice. It is worth mentioning that you are directly above a busy road. The ocean sounds really do block out most of the car noise, but not the cars blasting music. This did not bother us as the bedroom was really quiet and we had no issues sleeping with the a/c on and the door closed. The owner was so easy to reach and work with. Covered parking in Hawaii also made us happy. Had a great time. Thank you so much!
