The space
The house is a very comfortable and spacious 1,220 square foot three-bedroom, two-bathroom home with beautiful hardwood floors in all areas of the home. The kitchen has new appliances and is fully equipped for any cooking you may want to do during your stay. This home has been completely renovated from the flooring to the bathrooms! Brand new HVAC to keep you comfortable regardless of whether it's hot or cold outside.

AMENITIES: bedding, linens, towels, hairdryer, shampoo, and conditioner are all on hand for your use as well as all the other usual amenities you would anticipate having in a hotel.

A Washer/Dryer (limited laundry detergent is available). Free WiFi internet, Netflix & Amazon Prime (all TVs), Antenna with basic channels (living area), microwave, and a drip pot coffee maker is supplied with coffee. Additionally, various teas, sugar, and powdered creamer are provided when available.

A little older, but quiet, comfortable, really close to Texas Tech. Bonus, only a block and a half from Orlando's, best Italian food in Lubbock. We were very much at home during our stay.

Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. The house could have been a bit cleaner, but it wasn't bad at all. Mainly stained rugs and trash in front yard. Check-in & out process was super easy and I was in touch with the host throughout stay. Kerri was very attentive and pleasant to speak with. We would definitely rent this property again.

Master bath was less than clean. Disturbance outside the house in the middle of the night. Apparently the area is popular with the homeless and druggies. Gaps around front door and back door. We left after the first night because we didn’t feel safe.

House was as advertised. Excellent communication with host with easy check in. Kitchen only has microwave but worked for our needs. Comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. Close to Texas Tech and places to eat.

The house was as explained. The host was attentive to our needs and answered quickly. Clean house, comfortable beds and good showers. Be aware the hot water heater works great. Overall it was an inexpensive place to stay while visiting family.

Unfortunately, the first bathroom had a bit of a smell and the toilet in the master bath had trouble flushing. Also, we had to go searching for towels and did find them in the dryer. Otherwise, it was comfortable enough. We did appreciate having a place to stay for the night that was able to accommodate the 5 of us in 3 separate rooms but atill be able to hang out together in the living room.

Host was very communicative. But not in touch with reality at all. Shortly after booking I received a message stating that the place was older and things would show some wear. That’s fine we were just 5 guys going to Lubbock for a bird hunt. Wouldn’t be in the house much. Place was absolutely disgusting. One of the bedrooms had no AC. Like literally full bedroom with no AC vents. Back toilet didn’t like to flush. Showers were super slow to drain. Nasty stains on the rug floors etc. Just overall I’m terrible condition. We had to go hunt down and find the router and plug it in to set up the internet. There’s huge gaps around both exterior doors. Yes stuff was older but the filth and the showers not draining. No AC in the one room. House wouldn’t stay below 75 during the day. Also a horrible smell from the guest bathroom. I can go on and on. I tried messaging the host and she accused me of budget shopping and not having my expectations in line with what I rented. I’ve owned multiple vacation rentals. There’s a difference between a budget property and a disgusting trap house type property. All we cared about was having 5 beds. There wasn’t anything immediately available for same night booking when we got there late. I’d hate for anyone with kids to end up renting this place. There’s clearly some fake 10/10 reviews. If you scroll past you’ll see a bunch of reviews saying the the exact same thing I am. This house should not be rented in this condition. We have pics

We were looking for a vacation but seriously became worried we were going to leave being in some sort of crime documentary. We should've read the older reviews. The 10/10 reviews def come from the junkies that mustve rented this place out in past. Pretty sure this place is a trap house when not booked. Slits in mattresses, candy wrappers found in a bed, sh*t stains in toilet, spider webs in windows, dust all over, holes in wall, home foundation issues, cabinets/counters coming apart, beer cans in back yard, showers were dirty, crackheads walking down the street, gaps around the door frames, stained rug, stove top may have blown up at one point, dirty walls, dirty floor, blood on a pillow case and on a mattress, had to buy our own toilet paper bc each of the two rolls left in house had nothing on them. The place is grunge. They didn't even have paper towels, mops, brooms, etc for their renters to use if they made a small mess... Our favorite part was when we locked the front door with electric top lock and accidentally locked the bottom and the host said to just twist the ghetto bottom lock open on the front door. No security. The host did check in with us but we were too nervous to mention anything until after we left bc we were scared we'd get back from our day out and our stuff would be jacked. Wouldn't recommend this place for anyone that holds their own cleanliness at high standards.

The pictures are not accurate. Older home which is fine but I would not use the stove, inside cupboards were falling apart especially under sink, box springs on mattresses were had corners that showed wood frame, etc. Everything was partially used with no replacement which they noted if we used something up we would have to purchase our own and that is fine but could start us out with at least more than 2 rolls of paper towels which were less than 1/2 used. We had to put in bathrooms to dry hands and purchase a bottle of hand soap for a bathroom. 1 toilet wasn’t working. The doors around furnace?was broken and could not be closed. Apparently it was time to mow the yard (mostly dirt) while we were there. Found backyard gate open when we returned from graduation that night. It was noted that there were flaws with the house when I received the info to get in house- did not expect this!

This house was absolutely FILTHY!! Somehow I missed the pictures posted from someone last month or I definitely would not have stayed here. It does smell like cigarette smoke throughout the house but esp in the primary bedroom. There’s panels missing on the hot water heater/furnace closet. Big safety hazard if you have little kids. The gap all around the front door. The whole house needs a good cleaning and paint job. Stains on rugs. No way the carpets are cleaned monthly. Dirty baseboards. I could go on and on. The primary shower works good but it drains very slow. Dirty shower too. See other pics from someone else’s stay. Her pics are very accurate. This place is just gross!! Would NOT recommend!! Budget friendly shouldn’t mean DIRTY!! And there’s some homeless people that like to hang out at the convenience store a few doors down. No one bothered us but they were around.

I would not recommend staying here. The house is located in a bad neighborhood, and the burglar bars on the back window made me feel unsafe right away. There was about a one-inch gap around the front door frame, which made the place feel insecure and poorly maintained.The mattress was ripped, and there was trash in the backyard, which made the property look neglected and not well cared for.Because I did not feel safe, I left the next day and did not stay the rest of my reservation. I did not ask for a refund for the night I stayed, only for the nights I did not stay, but the host refused to refund them. She also waited until after checkout time to respond to my messages and then tried to charge me a 27 late checkout fee, even though I had already explained that I left early due to safety concerns.When I brought these issues to her attention, the host was rude and dismissive instead of helpful.I am very grateful for VRBO customer service for intervening and helping resolve the situation.Overall, this was a very uncomfortable experience, and I would suggest others stay somewhere else if safety and communication matter.
