We (5 adults, 2 couples)stayed at this home during our trip to Detroit to see the Clareesa Shields boxing match, and it was a solid spot for a weekend getaway. The location is greatâonly about 18 minutes from downtown, which made getting to the event easy. The home itself has two bedrooms and an additional room that functions like an office. A quick note for future guests: the home does not have central air, but the owner provided air conditioning units in the bedrooms along with several fans throughout the house. It was a warm weekend, so just something to keep in mind depending on the season.Itâs a one-and-a-half-bath homeâthereâs a full bathroom upstairs (no bathroom on the main level), and a half bath with just a toilet in the basement. The host did a great job stocking the bathroom with towels, makeup cloths, and body wash, which was a nice touch. The home is older and has a few creaks here and there, but it's clean, well-kept, and has cozy carpeting in the bedrooms. Thereâs also a cute little outdoor patio spaceâwe didnât use it, but itâs there if you want to enjoy some fresh air.One thing I really appreciated was the helpful guide the host provided, with suggestions on where to shop and eat in the area. Overall, it was a well-prepared and comfortable stay. Would recommend for small groups looking for a convenient Detroit stay.
