Heaven's Hideaway - 2 King Suites/Pet Friendly/Hot Tub/Firepit
New to our program, Heaven's Hideaway's exterior is charming with a welcoming front porch, complete with rocking chairs and a wagon wheel bench. It's the perfect place to enjoy the soft breeze rustling through the trees, morning songbirds and a hot cup of morning coffee.
Inside, the living area is open and inviting with a stone fireplace, a comfortable seating area, a beautiful wood dining table and an open kitchen. The area highlighted by a sky light and new wood floors creates a welcoming atmosphere,
The living area blends comfort with rustic charm. Plush sofas and a rocking chair are centered around a natural stone fireplace. You can relax in front of the cozy, warm fireplace on a chilly night and enjoy a movie or root for your favorite team on the large flat screen TV.
A large wood dining table creates a perfect spot for family dinners or gathering with friends. The table exudes warmth and character and offers space for everyone to sit comfortably.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and ample counter space ideal for preparing your favorite meals. A coffee station is nearby, complete with a high-end coffee maker and all the essentials to start the day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee.
A cozy screened-in porch is tucked away behind the kitchen with a table and chairs. Here the airy breeze comes in and the bugs stay out creating a wonderful spot for a meal or relaxing.
One of the best features at Heaven's Hideaway are the 2 bedrooms - each with a spacious king bed and its own private bath. The natural light from the windows and soft bedding give them a tranquil ambiance. Each room is set up with a flat screen TV for streaming and freshly laundered white bathrobes. There is also a sofa bed in the living area should you have extra guests.
The backyard of the cabin is a serene outdoor oasis designed for relaxation and enjoyment. The fenced area has a yard with room for games. There is a large gas grill for barbequing. And, you can build a crackling fire in the fire pit to enjoy the warmth of the flames as they flicker against the evening sky. Roasting sticks for marshmallows or hot dogs are available for your use. After a long day of hiking or walking around Dollywood or Gatlinburg, a soak in the large bubbling hot tub is the perfect way to ease your muscles and end the day.
Heaven’s Hideaway is located in Wonderland Woods in Wears Valley. It’s a wonderful family friendly area located between Pigeon Forge (home to Dollywood and many attractions) and Townsend (the peaceful side of the Smokies with tubing, hiking and restaurants). You can take the Wears Valley entrance into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park located just a couple of miles away. And, the best way to Gatlinburg is a beautiful 25 minute drive through the Park without all the traffic.
Access to Heaven’s Hideaway is easy. It’s not far from the main road; the road is paved, and there are no steep or scary mountain areas. The cabin itself has a one level floor plan and there are only 4 steps up to the front porch.
Many folks return to Heaven’s Hideaway year after year. They know the peaceful, wooded surroundings make it a perfect retreat. They enjoy the quiet, the comfort, and they like that it's close enough to everything to make it an ideal base for all the activities they love to do in the Great Smoky Mountain area.
Year-round fishing and seasonal pool access is available nearby. Skydance Lodge has a membership for your use to the Honeysuckle Meadows Pool & Deli located approximately 1 ½ miles from the cabin. Fishing pole rentals are available onsite during the summer season.
Day driving trips through Cades Cove, to Clingmans Dome, around the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, to the Mountain Farm Museum & Mingus Mill near Cherokee or on the Tail of the Dragon make fun & memorable outings. The entrance to the new scenic Wears Valley/Walland section of the Foothills Parkway which took over 50 years to complete is located just 3 miles from Skydance Lodge.
For local dining near the cabin, some favorites are: Grandmother’s Kitchen, Elvira’s Café, Pawpaw’s Cajun Kitchen, Sloppy Hog Burger Joint, and the Wear Valley Social Food Truck Park.
