Welcome to Miles To Go! Named in a nod to the Robert Frost poem, this camp is just the right place to escape and relax to enjoy nature. For the non Mainers, a camp is a basic cabin thats primary purpose is to provide access to the outdoor space and the adventures that surround it. This camp is simply beautiful and points you to the true Maine experience of adventure, nature, and relaxation. You will leave camp with tales of swimming, paddling, campfires, fishing, exploring, hiking, and observing nature.
The camp has 175’ of waterfront, surrounded by trees, on beautiful Toddy Pond. It is located on upper Toddy where the depth reaches 122’. This is a prized fishing location; excellent for catching landlocked salmon, lake trout, and splake, among others. There is a dock for enjoying a cup of coffee, launching a paddle boat (provided), or for jumping into the lake for a swim. There is also a small beach area where younger children can wade in. You can enjoy a hot shower in the outdoor shower (also a shower inside) or play a board game on one of the two screened-in porches. The outdoor space also features a grill and a fire pit.
The camp is filled with large windows showcasing the beauty of Maine’s iconic rocky terrain, trees, and water. The kitchen has all you need for enjoying meals pre or post adventure. A lobster pot, tools, and instructions for where to buy and how to cook your own lobsters are provided! Feel free however, to take a short drive to one of the many local restaurants and let the professionals do it for you! The spacious and inviting living room offers wonderful water views. The main camp sleeps nine. There is a double bed in each of the first two bedrooms and the third bedroom has two bunk beds (one is a triple-decker bunk, a kid favorite). The camp also offers a bunk house that is a fun hangout spot or sleeps an additional two with a double bed (note: there is no bathroom in the bunkhouse).
