Imagine staying in this award-winning Estate with 4,000 square feet of pure luxury, featuring 3 bedrooms with Tempur-Pedic king beds, a gourmet kitchen, stone fireplace, saltwater swimming pool and spa, pizza oven, bocce ball court and pickle ball court. At an elevation of 1,800 feet, thirty-mile views are spectacular, including Lake Sonoma, Dry Creek Valley and Mount St Helena. The Estate home is surrounded by 20-acres of vineyard and 245 Tuscan Olive trees. Guests receive a complimentary bottle of Gustafson wine with their stay. Ultimate privacy, just a 30-minute drive to Healdsburg through Dry Creek Valley. We host weddings and special events up to 50 guests with an additional contract and fee.

Unbelievable property, cannot imagine a better place to explore west Sonoma area. It was about 20 minute drive into Healdsburg but in my opinion was well worth it. Super clean in every way, kitchen was well appointed, and all the amenities you could ever ask for. Pool, pickle ball, bocci, hot tub. Yes to all! All kept up the to highest standards. Unbelievable views all around inside and out. Surrounded by vineyard, with the picnic area offering lake and Mountain View’s. Our family lived every minute of our stay. Communication with was prompt and easy. Hope to get back one day!! Cannot recommend enough!

Dan and Glenn -- Just WOW!!! This was an unforgettable stay! The stunning vineyard estate offered breathtaking views that stretched for miles across the vineyards and lake. The home's architecture and thoughtfully creative design are simply exceptional and certainly one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. Glenn was waiting for us on our arrival to give us a welcoming and informative tour of the property. It is a beautiful, well-designed home with incredible views...the hosts are amazing and utterly accommodating. They were available for recommendations in town, where to run and helpful when we had questions. They even ran to town and got us a meat thermometer for our thanksgiving prime rib! Truly the most kind hosts and it is a wonderful place. We will be back!

Beautiful house with breathtaking views. Amazing location in the mountains above Sonoma lake. Tons of great restaurants and fun things to do nearby. A true dream house and Glenn the property manager was the best, so attentive and helpful whenever we needed help with anything. This house is outstanding. The photos genuinely don’t capture how beautiful and well-designed it is. It’s large and impressive, but still feels comfortable and inviting.There was plenty of space for our family to relax, and the layout made it easy to host a small gathering without ever feeling crowded. The kitchen and common areas were especially well set up for spending time together.The pool and hot tub are great — easily a highlight of the stay and perfect for the kids. And the views! Breathtaking.The property manager lives on the property and was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything seamless.We would absolutely stay here again.

The most beautiful home and grounds. Th architecture is amazing. The kitchen had everything you could possibly want and more. Very comfortable beds. Spacious living areas and nooks to cozy into to read or nap. We all used the pool and hot tub everyday. We were three couples on a wine tasting trip. We spent all but one evening at the estate as none of us wanted to leave. Glenn, the property manager met us upon arrival and spent well over an hour touring the house and showing how to use everything. If we had any issues he was a phone text away with an answer. I would highly recommend this property and we are already planning on next year. It is a bit of a drive up but the views are worth it. My only complaint is that there are not enough towel bars to hang the linens from in the bathrooms. On our last morning we woke up to the beautiful fog that rolled it. Definitely a 5 star.

We can’t thank our hosts enough for an amazing stay at this beautiful estate! The views are stunning; the architectural design, details and finishes all speak to so much care and thoughtfulness. And the warm hospitality we received made us feel immediately at home. Waking up to the panoramic sunrises felt like a view from paradise. We booked a three-night stay for a small family gathering, and the fully appointed kitchen was above and beyond what you might find at a rental property. Beautiful property with amazing views. Home was very well equipped for cooking, with the added benefit of a nice grill and an Oonie pizza grill. The pool is beautiful as is the setting. We were there in November and loved sitting by the fireplace in the living room. The hosts were great and readily available. We didn’t have a chance to play pickleball, but did enjoy a few rounds of bocce. This is a great place to stay with family and friends where you want to be in nature and do not mind a 20-30 minute drive to the town and wine tasting.

Wife Birthday Relaxation

Great stay at a unique high quality estate. This should have been out of our budget but it wasn’t, and we will never forget the weekend enjoyed at Dans estate. I was asked “how much did this cost?” And I said “ less than not doing it at all…”. Dan stopped by to give us a brief history and share his appreciation for the area, and my wife and her friends loved it! We hired a private chef, the kitchen is ready to go for all entertai I g needs, and enjoyed a nice dinner in the grand room. All in all this was, without a doubt, the most exclusive stay of our 20 year traveling history. Thank you Dan. Thanks you Glenn (caretaker) and we hope to see you again soon.

In 2002 Dan Gustafson, a Landscape Architect and residential contractor, from Minnesota, was searching for the perfect location to establish a vineyard and a second home for the family. After two years looking, while traveling from Healdsburg to The Sea Ranch, the family came upon an 87-acre parcel of land overlooking Lake Sonoma. The soils were right, and the views were spectacular.

After purchasing the property, a vineyard was planted, and a year was spent designing a home that wed naturally with the site. All materials would be natural, reflecting an organic feeling, not a chalet or a villa. Timeless architecture being of the land, not perched on it.

The home is unique. The construction used the best available craftsman, with 115 tons of stone, all set by one stone mason over nine months. The redwood columns, with unique capitals, enable the interior and exterior of the home to flow as one. The creation of the home took more than two- and one-half years, with no detail left to chance.
