We loved staying at Casa del Tortuga! Chris was a great host, very responsive and helpful. The property was spacious and very modern. The beds were comfortable and the showers had good heat and water pressure. The backyard/pool/hot tub were great! Lots of very nice little touches like wireless charging stands on all nightstands. It's super convenient to the west entrance of the Park, which is a little mellower than the busy east entrance. Would definitely stay here again!

This might have been my best B&B experience to date. The house is so well organized and has all the amenities you are looking for. The oustide spaces are great and the view is excellent. Great communication with the host.

Very nice stay

Very clean modern house. Pool very nice and heated to perfect temperature. Convenient location but also very quiet. Teenage kids had a great time hanging out here and hitting the park as well. Hope to come back some time!

I almost don't want to post a review, because I want to keep this gem a secret! Yet, I would be remiss if I didn't say that this was hands down one of the best VRBO values I've stayed at, and we stay a lot of places! The place was clean, in great shape, and had all the amenities we could need. The host was fantastic to communicate with and extremely accommodating. If I had any suggestions for improvement at all it would be to consider getting a new mattress vs. just topper for the king bed as that would improve the sleep experience. But that's it! We plan to rent again when in the area! Joshua Tree is a magical place, and having this home to come back to after a day of exploring was just phenomenal.

What an oasis!! Chis was a fantastic host! I travelled from New England looking for some desert serenity and this spot delivered. The house was very clean and well appointed. The beds and linens were spotless and comfy. The outdoor area was incredible- with views of the desert and a sparking pool with the option of being heated. Being in the desert, there is not a ton of options for food, so cooking at the house was great. There is a grill, too! Highly recommended!

Perfect vacation home with an amazing backyard

Chris was a great host. The home was very clean and was even better than the pictures. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The kids loved the bunk bedroom. It's close to many amenities and the north entrance to Joshua Tree is literally behind the home. My kids didn't want to leave the backyard. The pool , hot tub , putting green , corn hole , gas fire pit and outdoor dining area had everything for the whole family. We will definitely stay here again 10/10

Great Place, excellent host

Everything that you need is stocked up. There is nothing that you will need to bring to this place, they have ammenity stocked up. The place is very clean and well maintain. It is very close to north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. I would certainly recommend it. The host is also very responsive and willing to help out. Thank you Chris

Wonderful Desert Retreat

We came down to Joshua Tree to celebrate our 9 year olds birthday. When we arrived there was a gift on the dining room table for our daughter which was such a pleasant surprise and made her smile. The property was clean, modern and comfortable with an amazing pool & hot tub. The kids really enjoyed the corn hole and golf area. They also loved swimming in the heated pool. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and we hope to stay here again in the future. We highly recommend this home for families and had a lovely time. The owners really went above and beyond to make our stay extra awesome.

We had the most comfortable, relaxing stay at the Casa de la Tortuga! The large pool is glorious after half a day in the hot sun exploring nearby Joshua Tree National Park. And in the evening, when it cools down, the hot tub (which is very hot!) is a wonderful place to stargaze. The house is well appointed and very clean, with all the extras you'd expect from a hotel, like k-cup coffee, individually wrapped tooth brushes w/toothpaste, fluffy white towels and designated pool towels. Beds are comfy and have nice sheets and comforters. We loved the proximity to JT National Park (one turn and then about 5 miles straight down the road), downtown Twentynine Palms (the cool part), and all the fun art in Wonder Valley (4 miles down the highway). The internet is fast and reliable, if you need to work like my husband did. I loved having doors that open directly out to the pool from the primary bedroom. Almost forgot--the gas firepit out back is wonderful to gather around and easy to use. You really don't have to leave the backyard to have a great time... but you should take advantage of the easy access to everything that this house offers!
It was hot outside, so the pool was great without heating.
Skull Rock is only 15 minutes away.

What an oasis to come back to after getting up early in the morning to hike! The back yard was all you needed. Cooling off in the pool, hot tubbing underneath the starts and fire pitting as well, all very private in a quiet neighborhood. Inside was extremely clean and the little things were provided such as coffee/creamer/toothbrushes (if you happen to forget yours). Would definitely stay there again if going back to Joshua Tree!
