Charming 1-bedroom cottage with WiFi, AC in Jonesville

Relax & refresh in our newly remodeled cottage in NC Foothills near Elkin – minutes from Yadkin Valley wineries, hiking, Elkin/Jonesville local restaurants, coffee shops and events, plus water activities on the Yadkin River.

Feel the magic of sunrises in our rose garden and sunsets viewing the Blue Ridge and Brushy Mountains in this newly remodeled and spacious living area, one King Bedroom, one Bath, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, and great outdoor spaces.

Experience the NC Foothills on a ridge overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and several wineries, given this is the heart of Yadkin Valley wine country. Just minutes from Elkin or Jonesville with activities galore. We are an hour north of Charlotte, an hour east of Boone, 40 minutes from Winston-Salem, 30 minutes to the Virginia State line and 5 miles north of the I-77 and Hwy 421 interchange.

Outdoors: Back deck with comfortable seating for viewing mountains and sunsets. It’s a perfect place to relax with the beverage of your choice, while the sky fills with stars (no light pollution here). Front porch has vintage seating for that morning cup of coffee or feel free to wander over to the bench in the rose garden.

Bovine Neighbors – The cottage also overlooks 100 acres of pastureland with wandering visits from grass-fed beef cattle in the spring, summer and fall. Caution the fence is electrified when cattle are on site.

Indoors: Newly remodeled with Smart TV, books, board games, ceiling fans, air conditioning.

Kitchen: Electric stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker (coffee, tea, hot chocolate provided), blender, generously stocked with dishes, flatware, glasses, cooking utensils, pots/pans, salt/pepper, key spices, trash bags and paper towels.

Bath: Large shower, sink/vanity, hair dryer, washer/dryer with laundry soap, towels.

Small Children: Folding Coleman bed is available upon request.

Safety: Smoke detectors and fire extinguisher on site. First Aid kit in pantry, dead bolts and motion sensor outdoor lighting. Very safe rural area. Owners live in adjacent home sitting on two acres adjacent to 100 acres of pastureland.

We ask that there is no smoking inside or outside the cottage, no events, large gatherings, or parties.

Parking & Entry: Ample free parking in front of cottage, keyless front entry.

Nearby (3-10 minute drive): the cottage is close to numerous award winning wineries, many of which host music and food trucks on weekends. The railyard in downtown Elkin is another weekend venue.

Outdoor activities include hiking trails, kayaking, tubing, Alpha & Omega Corn Maze (Fall) , Stone Mountain State Park, Blue Ridge parkway, Kerr Scott Dam, local markets including the Shiloh Amish Market, and golf courses. There are several wine touring bus services.

We have two very friendly dogs who have an invisible fence (we leave the white flags out to indicate the corners of their fencing). They may bark to announce your arrival.

- TV – if you login to your streaming service(s), please remember to log out when you leave.
- Septic Tank – We have a new septic system used exclusively for the cottage. We do not have garbage disposal in the kitchen to help keep the system in balance – please toss all food scraps into trash container. Please also be careful to only put toilet tissue in the commode.
- Well Water - We have well water, which is tested annually. It’s fine to drink or feel free to use the Brita water in the refrigerator – we change the Brita filter monthly.
