This newly remodeled ocean front property is a fabulous duplex. Our unit is comprised of the first floor and a section of the second floor for a total of 1505 sq. ft. Make yourself at home in this 3-bedroom San Diego retreat. Enjoy the sound of the ocean as the waves crash outside your window.
This superb house features 2 bedrooms with king size beds and the third bedroom having 2 bunk beds which sleeps 4. It's perfect for families or friends looking for a getaway. With 2 bathrooms, everyone can freshen up smoothly. Relax in the spacious living area or enjoy a meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Additionally there is 1 parking space for a small vehicle inside the 2 car garage. The south side is your assigned spot. But best of all is the Outside Ocean Front Patio. It is a shared space with guests that might be occupying the other duplex located within the home structure. The south side of the patio is designated solely for your use.
There is nothing like having a vacation staying in an oceanfront property. Come see the green flash.

Wonderful property right on the beach with an uninterrupted view from two of the bedrooms. Super clean and comfy beds. Really clear communication and easy access. Super walkable to food and shopping. Plenty of amenities like towels, iron, food seasoning, appliances, etc. Perfect for a family weekend.

Absolutely loved this placed! Perfect location, close to Sea World and Sea Port Beach. The beach out front wasn't busy at all. If you go more south or north the beach is alot busier.It's a few minutes walk to Belmont amusement park, a bike rental place, to cruise the boardwalk, very reasonably priced 20 for 4 hours! There are also great restaurants nearby. This place has the best patio to watch the sunset and even sitting in the living room looking out the big window was such a pleasure. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need to cook. The dining table is big and great for game nights and she has fun games in the credenza to play. I highly recommend this place!! Definitely plan to rebook for next year.

We loved this unit! The hostess, Mary, is amazing. She responded quickly to any questions and was a delight to meet in person. The location is perfect for people watching and walking on the boardwalk, playing on the beach, and watching the surfers and dolphins. The unit is very clean and well stocked with items you might need to enjoy your stay. Parking is a challenge, but we had a houseful and an suv to transport that was too big for the parking spot. We found 24 hour parking nearby in the lot about a 5 min walk from the unit even on the 4th of July weekend.

Beautiful location and great people watching

My family of four stayed at the property for a long weekend. We would stay again. Mary, the property manager, was very helpful and informative. The house was very clean and well appointed. The outdoor patio and shower were great as well. You cannot beat being steps away from the beach!

Great Location on Mission Beach

Excellent house with parking, although the garage parking is tight. You are sharing the garage and patio with another Vrbo above and behind this rental, so be aware it is a shared patio. Otherwise we had a great time. The Wi-Fi was fast and we were able to use the tv in all the rooms, kitchen was fully stocked and there was room in the main living room to store bikes and beach items. Overall great location and house.

Location, Location, Location

This ocean front beach house is positioned in the perfect spot on Mission Beach. The comfortable patio, with a large umbrella, faces the beach which allowed us to enjoy long hours, even after we came in from the sand. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathrooms are very updated.

Misleading listing and shady charges

BEFORE YOU BOOK READ OUR REVIEW: The listing is misleading. You are not renting the entire "beach home" shown in the photos. The building has two units. This listing is for the lower level and we spent all weekend listening to footsteps from the "neighbors" right above our bed. There was no mention that the garage is shared by the renters in the upstairs unit. If the neighbor leaves the garage open your car is vulnerable to break ins. It is impossible to fit two small cars in the garage let alone a SUV. We spent more time directing traffic than on the beach. We were asked to move our car out of the garage by the other renters as they too thought they had the garage to themselves based on the misleading listing. Be prepared to see random people peeking into your kitchen window. The patio is shared, the grill is shared... none of this is disclosed in the listing. The property owner was not helpful at all. The jetted tub in the main bath didn't work. We called the owner several times and got no help. On top of all of this, the owner charged our credit card $60 for a broken coffee pot that's value isn't more than $30. Nothing was broken. Shady over-charging by the owner. Complete nonsense... we didn't break anything. Find another home- with property owners who actually care about other family's vacations!!!

The place was great and in a perfect spot for quiet beach days and walkable entertainment. House was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable too! The garage is pretty small (as listed) but parking was easy within a block of the beach. We will be back!

Great location

This house is in a great location for enjoying the beach, walking, bike riding, and sunsets. The house itself along with the furnishings (inside and out) are a bit dated and is in need of a "tune up" (inside and out). The master bath is a challenge for anyone with difficulty climbing up (and down) into a tight space that can be slippery. The garage was too small to accommodate a small SUV (Toyota Rav 4) but there was an accessible town-owned parking lot about 5 minutes away. Renters should know that this is a duplex with another occupant in adjacent space. As it turns out, the owners of the other half of the duplex were there while we were - they were very lovely people - wonderfully welcoming and helpful for orienting us to the area. Unfortunately there was construction going in their unit which resulted in dust and noise. The owners of the adjacent unit did the best they could to moderate the impact of the construction and we were thankful for that. My suggestion to the owner of the unit we rented would be to not rent it while construction is going on.

Dishonest & careless

Let’s start with the fact that there was construction supplies in the garage which limited the space to one small car(owner said a small suv would fit,” could not be more inaccurate. Our Model 3 BARELY FIT next to all the construction equipment and supplies! Patio furniture was covered so we had to uncover and find proper placement. They were dirty and severely worn out(looked nothing like the photo)! On Saturday, at 7:30 am we were woken up but loud construction drilling and hammering on the third floor. I messaged the owner who apparently could care less and never responded. We were never told that there would be construction right above the bedrooms! Absolutely rude and disingenuous! The construction work was so loud we had to leave the the house for 5-6 hours! Defeating the purpose of renting a beachfront property! Everything was dusty and we had to do our own cleaning. We also had to wash the towels because they all smelled unclean. This owner should be ashamed of their listing. The house should NEVER HAVE BEEN MADE AVAILABLE FOR RENT! Sunday morning we were awakened by construction again and loud stomping on the third floor. Thank God we were set to check out by 10! Also, if you have small children, forget this place! The dinning table GLASS COVER is bigger than the actual table which can injur your children! The front gate is unaligned leaving it open and your kids can walk out without you knowing. THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORST weekend getaway and I wish I could get my money back. DONT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! Vrbo should remove this listing.

We had an exceptional time staying here! The set-up of the house is great and has ample space for family and friends of all ages. You cannot beat the location! To hear the Pacific Ocean when you wake up in the morning is priceless, we wish we could have stayed longer.

We can’t wait to go back! Can walk to activities and restaurants. Great patio on the boardwalk. There is only one bathroom upstairs in the master suite…the other 2 bedrooms have to share a bathroom downstairs or the master bath. We didn’t mind because we were all family, but may be different if more than one family.
