Winter Escape

This condo unit was clean, comfortable and had a very nice pool and hot tub. The neighbors were nice and our dog got to bark at other dogs, which made her happy. The only problem was making U-Turns from left lane leaving the property. Gandy Blvd was very busy and it was difficult to do at times. Lots of nice restaurants within 10 miles - some dog friendly.

Compact Condo

The condo was compact but very comfortable and had everything I needed including a washer and dryer. It was decorated very nicely. The complex was surprisingly quiet. I was using it as a home base to take care of family business less than a mile away, so the location was perfect. The main downsize to the property was getting safely back to town which required crossing three lanes of traffic and making a u-turn which was difficult during peak times. I also wish the small balcony was screened in; however, I would stay there again.

Clean Condo and good location BUT..........

I would have and woyld have loved to rate it better but ro start off our plane was 3.5 hours delayed and sent messages to owner about us getting there later then original planned. When we did get there it was late around 1:30 am and the two keypad numbers he gave us didn't work. I tried texting him and no response then called him twice and no answer. My 9 year son was a little tired and upset we couldn't get in. Instead of sleeping in the car we went to a hotel and spent mpre money to sleep, around 4:30 am I get a text with a different code. The next day we went back and the new code finally worked. On Sunday morning I let him know the coffee machine wasn't working and he texted back he'll look for another. Nothing all day but the next day after we left he texted me sorry about coffee machine. Like I said I would have loved to rate it higher and hopefully this was just an off weekend for the ownwr.

VRBO Host NOT TRANSPARENT!

1st time renting on VRBO and extremely disappointed with the experience! The pool was the feature prominently advertised and is what drew us to the property. We were vacationing for 9 days from up North with our 5 yo. When we arrived the pool was “closed until further notice for scheduled renovation/maintenance” We contacted the host about this day 1 (3/27). The host said he would check with maintenance and we had to follow up with him Sat 3/30 for an update. He replied maintenance would have an update Mon 4/1 and said “we never know when issues arise”. We also notified VRBO of the situation. THE ISSUE REVEALED: We spoke with the Vantage Point Condo property mgr on Thurs 4/4 and she informed us that the pool had been closed for months due to construction and our VRBO host knew about it. She shared a screen shot showing a communication she had with him in Feb. regarding the pool being closed. Our host knew of the pool being closed and we should have been notified of this long before our arrival to the property but we were not. The condo mgr also informed us we should have not been allowed to rent the condo in the 1st place b/c their HOA does not allow short term rentals. We asked VRBO and the host for fair reimbursement and DID NOT receive the type of support we expected from either. Highly disappointed in this entire experience as customers of VRBO!

This condo kept my family together!

Due to a long term water leak and accumulation of mold, my family & I had to leave our home in a hurry. My 83 yr old mom, 2 cats and I were able to find a hotel. The rest of our pets had to be boarded. Luckily I was able to find this condo and Brian agreed to let all of us stay for as long as we needed to. That meant Mom, one African Grey, six cats and me! Since we did need to leave quickly we weren't able to bring a lot with us. Everything we needed was here. Which is a very good thing because due to Hurricane Irma we will probably be here for about 2 months. If I was looking for a vacation place I would rent this condo in a heartbeat! The next time I have family come down from Michigan I'll highly recommend it. It's much better than a hotel and is close to almost every fun thing to do in the Tampa-St Pete area. It's even a straight shot to Orlando and the Parks! We never used the pool or any of the other facilities because of the situation but the place is very attractive. I think you'll enjoy it as much as we have. Staying here has been one less thing for me to worry about!

Perfect getaway for me and my daughters!!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles from the owner who then showed us around, explained a few things, and then left us to enjoy our stay! The property was gorgeous and we will definitely return!!

Nice place, but will not be returning

The condo was in like-new condition and nicely decorated. The furnishings were a little inadequate. There was no dresser in the bedroom, just shelves in the closet. The bed seemed small, maybe a full-size mattress??? The living room did not have a regular sofa or chair, nothing to sit in that would provide back support. There was a trundle bed and a pouch-type chair. The pool area was gorgeous, but we could not swim until our second week there. The pool was not heated, and still a bit chilly. We would have liked a heated pool.
