🌲 Welcome to Sylvan Meadow, a private Vermont home nestled among the trees in Williston. Just minutes from 📍 Burlington, 🌊 Lake Champlain, ✈️ BTV Airport, 🛍️ shopping, 🍽️ restaurants, and 🎓 four major colleges, it offers a peaceful setting with easy access to everything Vermont has to offer.

🏡 Designed for gathering, the home features four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and more than 2,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space. The open kitchen, dining, and living areas flow together naturally, creating comfortable spaces to cook, share meals, and spend time together beside the 🔥 gas fireplace.

We had a wonderful family reunion this week. The common areas of the home are comfortable and well stocked. The beds are all quite comfortable and the rain-forest shower in the primary bathroom is wonderful! We stayed in the suite on the lower level which was enormous. I always appreciate have the laundry machines available. Our check-in and departure was easy and the host was able to accomodate our late departure. Henry's Diner and the Burlington Bagel Company were our mainstays for breakfast, while the Burlington waterfront and the Shelburne Museum were only a short ride away. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed our visit to VT and our stay in this beautiful home. The home is supplied with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Perfect location for visiting not only many VT locals, but also visited NY and NH. Good communication with Jolene. She was very helpful, she went above and beyond.

Wonderful Stay! Great House

Stayed for a lacrosse tourney in the area with family of 6 and pets. Plenty of room for everyone! Place was clean, as described and worked perfect for us. Big yard to walk the dog around and quiet neighborhood to go on longer walks. Central location to stores within 5 miles, park & tennis courts down the street. House was well equipped to make dinners and great table to seat everyone. Would recommend and would stay here again.

We just stayed at the Sylvan Meadows property for Thanksgiving 2025 and it was wonderful. The home was beautiful with great amenities and the kitchen was probably the most well equipped short term rental I have ever seen which was a fantastic plus as we worked to create our Thanksgiving meal for everyone. I have to give a special thanks to our host/ambassador Jolene. She was so amazing, responsive to questions and accommodating when we realized that two of our physically challenged family members would have trouble negotiating the front door. I just can’t thank her enough for all that she did. It made our Thanksgiving holiday a wonderful time for everyone. Taken all together it was a great home, wonderful location and a great host. We will definitely look to book here again for family gatherings in Vermont. Thank you again Jolene.

When you pull in to the property, you will notice the rusted garage doors, stained siding, and broken front door. There is also trash on the lawn, leading you and your guests to wonder about the relatively high rental cost. But once you get inside and notice the rusted and broken baseboards, some held together with tape, water stains, sheet rock repairs with different colored paint or different popcorn texture, broken trim boards, and bubbling and chipping paint and sheetrock tape, you will really start to wonder. They did do a nice job with intricately folded towels, and bows on the toilet paper, but all of this was just lipstick on a pig. The stay was fine, but don't expect a nice place. More like a no tell motel than the Hilton. Oh, also, the posting says pet friendly, the the virtual guest info book says No Pets. Not sure which was accurate.

Great place to stay!

My family and I were in town for my oldest niece’s high school graduation on June 13th, and were having a difficult time trying to find a hotel that wasn’t overly priced and could accommodate all of being together in one place. We decided to try finding a place through VRBO that could accommodate 7 people. Since this was our first time renting a place off of VRBO, we were a little leery about the whole process. I’m so glad we went this route! Not only was the process of renting this place a breeze, the house we rented was amazing and in a great location - it was maybe five minutes from the Burlington airport, about 5 minutes from shopping and restaurants, and only 10 minutes from my sister’s house in Williston. The house itself was stocked with everything from dishes and cookware, to toiletries and fresh towels and linens. Jolie and Brian checked in on us several times during our stay through the VRBO app to ensure everything was ok for us. From check-in to checkout, everything was amazing. Thanks again for allowing us to rent this place from you, and we will definitely be returning and renting from you again we my second niece graduates high school!

The outside of the house needs a lot of upgrading. Needs to be power washed, outside stairs leading to front door were uneven and somewhat difficult to maneuver. Rain gutters full of moss and growth. Kitchen, dining, living room and upstairs bedrooms were tidy & clean. Mattresses need to be upgraded. Super hard. Sheets & comforters very clean! Master bathroom was amazing. Shower was awesome! All bathrooms had great water pressure. Although Downstairs bathroom had a few black spots. Don’t think it was mold. We cleaned it with bleach and it cleared it up. A few broken towel rods, but mngmt knew about that. Air conditioning in each room. Plenty of toilet supplies, towels, sheet sets, toiletries, and the place is roomy.

Host was very responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. House is plain outside, but has a nice deck and is charming inside. Very clean. Staff alerted us when some items were left behind and made plans to return them.Two good areas for viewing World Cup games, upstairs and downstairs, with a really large screen TV downstairs. Loved having 3 full baths. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Lots of parking and house sits well off the street leaving big front and back yards.Close to everything but across the street from a quiet neighborhood that is really good for walking.Had a very nice week there.

I am Mary McEwen and Sylvan Meadow is my home! I poured my heart into renovating the entire house in 2022. I used to rent it exclusively to visiting nurses but due to staffing changes at the local hospital, I've decided to rent it to visiting families from anywhere, instead. Jolie Walker of Vacation Hospitality manages the listing and the property and is a 5 minute drive from the house. She's wonderful!

Vacation Hospitality is her local management company that does nothing but manage short term rental properties as it has done in the area since 2005.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Williston is famous for it's shopping; it has many of the biggest big box retailers like Walmart and Dicks Sporting Goods and Home Depot but it also has so many small boutique shops such as Get Air Trampoline Park (indoor) and Lenny's Shoes and Turner Toys.

The house is also 5 miles away from downtown Burlington which is right on Lake Champlain and has "The Best Public Space in America" (USA Today 2022) in the Church Street Promenade, a 3 block pedestrian outdoor mall that has a ton of really unique and independent luxury retail stores such as Danfort Pewter. The lake is a good walk down the hill where you can rent a bike and cycle 8 miles north on an amazing dedicated bike path through the woods and by swim beaches and over rivers until you come to the Colchester Causeway, a 2 mile bike path that crosses Mallets Bay to South Hero of Grand Isle!

So much to do, so much to see!
