Great cabin - close to water

We've stayed at this property a couple of times before and always enjoy staying there! We enjoy its proximity to Henderson Marina. The porch on the 1st floor and balcony on the 2nd floor are great for morning cups of coffee or dinners when it's nice outside.

My husband and I were in town to visit family. The location was only 10 to 15 minutes away from our family, restaurants, and stores. It was so peaceful. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and he made sure we had everything that we needed for our stay. This cabin would not be for anyone who has mobility challenges, because there is no paved drive and walkway path that leads to the stairs to the front porch. We would definitely stay at this cabin when we visit Mountain Home again.

Cute, comfortable cabin

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was everything you could want in a cabin by the lake. Great view of the water from a spacious front porch. Each bedroom had a bath. Washer/dryer convenient. Kitchen was a nice size. This cabin was a GOOD choice.

Very nice cabin but it is poorly located we had a great stay though ! The most it needs proper parking for a boat and truck. Also the view is misleading and driveway needs redone.Remember don't flush the toilet paper !

Thanks for your stay and for sharing your feedback. I’m glad to hear you had a great time at the cabin! To clarify a few things for future guests: this is a hillside cabin with a seasonal lake view, which changes throughout the year as the trees leaf out — something we can’t control, but many guests still find the setting peaceful and beautiful. The listing doesn’t advertise boat or large vehicle parking, though we appreciate the note and will consider ways to clarify that further. We’ve hosted many guests who found the location ideal for a quiet getaway. Regarding the driveway, recent heavy storms in the area have washed it out a few times. It is scheduled for regrading as soon as weather allows. While fully drivable, we agree it’s not in perfect condition right now — and we appreciate your patience with that. As for the toilet paper note — yes, our cleaners found a clever little sign to remind guests that, like many rural cabins on septic systems, we ask guests to be sensitive to help us in avoiding plumbing issues. We strive to be transparent and responsive, and this is our first review that wasn’t 5 stars, so we take all feedback seriously. Thanks again for staying with us — we’re happy you enjoyed your visit overall!

Great stay

We had a great stay. Everything was pretty. Two things I wish I would have known was that there isn't outdoor privacy. All the other homes were very close. The other was that I wish one of the beds were king to guve a little more room. But it is beautiful and the cabin is gorgeous! The area around the lake is scenic. We we visited the lake was flooded. Our host were great and communicating with them was easy. p

Thanks Laura I heard that the cabin in front of ours had a big party while you were there. Sorry about that. Hopefully it wasn't too loud. The Patton's were amazing from start to finish. They have one of the most beautiful homes!! The view from the upstairs deck is simply breathtaking. You can enjoy your morning coffee or night cap all with a beautiful view!! The home is more than spacious. They provide remotes for everything, even fans. The kitchen is a dream (if you want to stay in) to cook in. This is truly a home away from home. I don't know who cleans for them, but they are brilliant at their job. Overall, the stay was spectacular! And if you get your code wrong... they WILL contact you to make sure you're okay and that you don't need assistance. We will definitely book with them again.
