Die beliebtesten AktivitĂ€ten in unserer Gegend kreisen um Raystown See und Allegrippas Trail. Unsere Kabine ist ca. 5 Meilen von jedem Ziel entfernt. Das Hotel liegt auf einem 6. 5-Morgen-Wald umgeben, hat die Kabine 3-Schlafzimmer (8 Personen). Komplett eingerichtet mit den meisten der Komfort von zu Hause, mieten wir durch die Nacht oder der Woche von MĂ€rz 01 bis 15 Dezember (bei schönem Wetter). Wir haben eine 2 oder 3-NĂ€chte Minimum, abhĂ€ngig von der Zeit des Jahres. Wir können fĂŒr jeden Monat mieten, wobei die Rate von den gewĂŒnschten Monaten abhĂ€ngt.

Raystown See ist ein beliebtes Wasserstraße im SĂŒden von Zentral Pennsylvania. Der 29-Meile langen See und die Umgebung sind zu einem großen Teil von der Bundesregierung mit mehreren staatlichen Parks und WĂ€lder in unmittelbarer NĂ€he gehört. Es ist eine wunderbare Gegend einen Familienurlaub mit großer Wandern, Jagen, Bootfahren, Schwimmen, Angeln und Vogelbeobachtung zu verbringen. Weitere beliebte SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten sind Höhlen, railroading, Kreuzfahrten auf dem See, Bootsverleih um nur einige zu nennen. FĂŒr Golfer bietet Huntingdon Country Club einen öffentlichen Golfplatz etwa 4 Meilen nördlich von uns. Die Freiwilligen haben die Allegrippis Trail vor kurzem geschaffen, die mit Bike-Enthusiasten sehr beliebt ist. Angelturniere hĂ€ufig die Gegend und Barbecue am Strand ist im September statt. WĂ€hrend Ihres Aufenthalts werden Sie wahrscheinlich sogar einen Blick auf einen BĂ€ren erwecken, der ĂŒber den See schwimmt, oder einen Weißkopfseeadler, der in sein Nest zurĂŒckkehrt.

Die Kabine ist auch nur 10 Minuten Fahrt vom Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA und etwa 45 Minuten Fahrt von der Penn State University Hauptcampus in State College, PA

Einige jĂ€hrliche Veranstaltungen sind Dirt Fest am Allegrippis Trail, die K-Bass Tournament (Fischen) und Creation Christian Music Festival im Juni. Amazing Cabin Stay

My friends and I were looking for a weekend get a way and Linda’s cabin was the absolute perfect fit. The hosts were absolutely incredible and made sure all our needs were met and we were very comfortable. The cabin itself was so homey, safe, and clean. We truly had the best weekend and shared so many memories together, thanks to the wonderful hospitality of this cabin. We thank you so much for having us and will be booking again in the future !!

Musty and mouse pee

I have stayed with this for about before but in a different cabin. This time I had decided to rent a bigger one so I could have some of my grandchildren to stay and visit for a night or so. When I got there and opened the door I immediately smelled mouse pee and it was extremely musty and there was a humidifier running so I knew they must have had some type of water problem inside. So I cleaned up a little bit sprayed some febreze and made sure that there was no mouse poop anywhere. Then I looked at all the beds. Aunt was a little worried about going up the stairs to all the beds that were up there which there were four of them which I'm assuming would be meant for children and there is no no stair rungs in between and the children could easily fall off the stairs. Which is such a danger and then I went outside and I thought okay. I'll just straighten up the porch a little bit and there is all kinds of wooden debris that they left. I'm assuming for us to use for firewood with Rusty nails sticking out of almost every single piece of what which is just ridiculous and unimaginable too. Assume that a family would be picking them up in the dark and hoping that they don't stick themselves with those Rusty nails. I'm so disappointed with this stay and the couches were so filthy and the chair that I had to use their blankets to throw over the couches and chair just so that we could actually sit down on something clean. I understand this is a cheaper rental but there's no excuse for h Either way you're not stay with It might be worth spending the little bit of extra money on a place where they actually care

Never saw a very important message from host, describing exact location of property, and did not see on original listing that linens and towels were not included. (this info was included in the message that I missed somehow) Shower was dirty, and couch smelled like dog. Great Location

Canadian March Break MTB adventure

We really enjoyed our week at this cabin. It had all the luxuries - hot water, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds - that we were looking for. Plus it had a beautiful, private covered porch for relaxing. And free wifi to plan our biking. The location was fantastic, perched on a hillside in a quiet rural area. Within 10 minutes, we could drive to the Allegrippis trailheads and Raystown MTB skills park. We were able to ride the whole trail system, in a few days due to warm weather and dry conditions. The cabin was also a good base camp for hiking the Standing Stone trail, within a half hour drive we were able to hike the 1000 steps, and within 40 minutes drive we reached the parking lot for Saussers Stone Pile. Also closeby are the Ridenour And Haun Overlooks. Thanks for a great stay! Recommend this cabin for visitors who love the outdoors, and want an authentic, and rustic mountain experience.

Cozy but a little cramped

The host was very easy to contact, but the cabin definitely was a bit small for the amount of people it sleeps. It was also pretty dusty. But we all had a great stay, so I would generally recommend it if you’re looking a relatively cheap place for a weekend getaway!

Not as expected

The cabin was a bit shabbier than we expected! There was a wire from the shower door frame to the shower head!!! Holding it on I guess?? And the tub itself had a lot of cracks in it! The stair railing was certainly not up to code! For the price we paid we expected more.

Rustic get-away, with amenities

We were in touch with Ms. White, in a timely manner-upon arrival. We stayed 3 nights/4 days. The space was more than adequate. "We" were 2 - could have slept about 10 comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped with about all you would need to prepare a meal. The place was clean and tidy. One thing which was unpleasant - we found and removed - a wasp in the kitchen. This was our last night there, and I suppose it could have gotten in by way of the front door. Also, there was an odor like urine, upon entering the cabin - but once inside a room, the smell dissipated. I think the owner did all they could about it, having a dehumidifier run all the time. The location was perfect for our comings and goings (particularly Raystown Lake). Please provide instructions on the use of the heating system as we didn't get it figured out until the 3rd night of our stay! Not sure we would stay here again...

Whar an adorable cabin in the woods! 5 minutes from 7 points marina, but secluded enough that you felt you were in the country. Kitchen was very well stocked with utensils plates and pots and pans. We loved our time here!

Spring break

Always love staying at the cabins, this was the first time in the bigger cabin but it was perfect for the 3 small grandkids while on spring/Easter break from school, can't wait to come back to the smaller cabin in just under 2 weeks for my anniversary.

Rustic lodging.

Easy to find, road leading to property itself needs leveling and maintenance. Beds stiff and uncomfortable. Kitchen basics old and outdated. The area and it’s natural beauty made the stay a pleasant one. I think the overall price point was high for this rental although it’s location was great.

Boat week

Everything was awesome. The cabin was perfect for our evenings off the water. The porch was large enough to have our coffee bar, eating and playing cards/games. The cabin is only minutes from Seven Points Marina. We would stay there again.

Sisters Birthday Weekend

What a great weekend! The cabin was so cute and so clean. There was a lot of room and had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. The cabin was very close to grocery stores, gas, and only 10 minutes to the lake. Definitely will be booking again!

With an eye to invest in rental property during the late 1990's, a broker led us to our lovely cabin property. We fell instantly in love with the property and made an offer to purchase right away. Although we were delayed in closing by paperwork on the seller's side, we began renting even before we officially owned! Thus began our real estate investing and my choice to become a licensed real estate agent. If you are leaning in that direction, I would gladly share my experience with you.

We have made many improvements since 1998, keeping the rustic charm but making the cabin more comfortable for our guests. The cabin is semi-private with natural vegetation surrounding it. A relaxing area awaits with a picnic table, campfire ring and cast-iron charcoal grill. While we are not set up to host large numbers of people for meals, etc. there are many picnic areas and pavilions nearby which can be secured for just such an event. These areas may be reserved by calling the US Army Corps of Engineers office.

Awaken to birds singing in the morning. If you rise early enough, you may see the deer trek down off the hill toward the creek (a deer run goes right across our property). Make sure your eyes are open... a guest was walking her dog and startled a deer right behind her cabin! Rock and roll to your hearts delight on the lake or the trails, then return to your cabin and grill your favorite meal. Relax by the campfire, enjoy your beverage and just chill.
