Location and size of the place is nice. However, we did not receive instructions on entry until having to call the VRBO help line after waiting 2 hours into the reservation with no response from the host. There were many odd things we noticed immediately: everything in the house was unplugged, the back door doorknob was not screwed into the door and immediately fell off when we attempted to open the door, there was a dirty kitchen towel laying in the middle of the living room, one of the twin beds was made to appear intact and when one of us sat a bag on the bed the foot of the bed collapsed, the trashcan in the main bathroom was full of trash and placed in the bathtub with a dirty bath mat placed by it, there were about 5 squares of toilet paper on the roll in the main bathroom and no extra toilet paper to be found anywhere. We were all confused by the state of the place considering the good reviews preciously left. Because it was Christmas Eve and Christmas day that we were there we assumed our stay was overlooked or the cleaning crew either didn’t show up or properly complete the cleaning. No instructions were left on expectations regarding checkout. Therefore we attempted to run the dishwasher the night before we left and the next morning it had completed the run cycle but the dishes didn’t look like any water had touched them. The house is supplied with the very basics so bring your own toiletries and toilet paper.
