Fortunately, after your call, we were able to ensure you accessed the property on time and were welcomed by the caretaker upon arrival. Regarding the lighting, the property is designed with soft, low lighting at night to preserve a peaceful, natural atmosphere rather than bright floodlights. That said, as soon as you mentioned it, we immediately turned on the full entrance lighting to make you more comfortable. We do provide detailed arrival instructions in advance. During our call, you mentioned you were familiar with the location, but please note that the property’s name, The Overlook, reflects its intentionally private and tucked-away setting—even though it is directly off the highway. I’m sorry about the water heater being off in the kitchen. Had we been notified during your stay, we or the caretaker would have resolved it right away. The same applies to the shower soap dispenser, which should have been addressed prior to your arrival and has since been corrected.
