We enjoyed our stay and would go back to this rental. We loved opening the windows or sitting at the outside table and listening to the river. The yard was very private and the gardens were pretty. Unfortunately the hammock wasn’t there, maybe due to the storm that occurred right before our arrival, and the grass around the two chairs by the river was overgrown. The location of the house was perfect. My husband was able to fish from the backyard and we enjoyed walking to town to shop, eat, and stop by the farmers market. We hiked at the nearby national park and at Quechee Gorge which were both a short drive away. The management company was very responsive to the two issues that we needed help with. The folks that came to the house were friendly and helpful.A few things that others might want to be aware of before renting are that the kitchen cabinets and the microwave are very high up. I’m short so I needed to use the provided stepstool to reach them. Also, there is plenty of counter space in the kitchen, but not much cabinet space available. The rooms on the second floor are lovely, but the stairs are very narrow which is typical for an antique house. Overall we had a great experience and would enjoy returning to this relaxing house on the river.
