The Scott’s House is a welcoming 3-bedroom holiday home in Aviemore, nestled at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a great location. Just a few minutes walk to the River Spey and a short stroll or cycle to Aviemore village centre, it offers the perfect base for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

The home provides comfortable accommodation for up to 7 guests, with 2 double bedrooms, a three-bed room, a family bathroom, a separate cloakroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The spacious living areas make it easy to relax after a day of skiing, hiking, or exploring the Highlands.

One of the house’s most unique features is its large back garden, opening onto the Spey Valley Golf Course and surrounded by tranquil birch woods. It’s a perfect spot for children to play safely or for adults to enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks while taking in the mountain air.

With easy access to the Cairngorms National Park, ski slopes, biking trails, and walking routes, Scott’s House combines comfort, location, and scenery for an unforgettable Highland retreat.

Additional Information: The Scott's House is strictly a non smoking property and guests are asked to respect this for their safety and the comfort of all other guests.

Linen and towels are provided. Guests should take their own towels for swimming or outdoor activities.

Stayed for a week with my dog. Brilliant location in a quiet area but easily walkable to town. Lovely trail right next to the property. Close to lots of walks and attractions. Comfy bed and had everything we needed. Simmie was really lovely and had excellent communication. Really enjoyed it!

Six of us stayed in this lovely house for 10 days. It's centrally located for visiting the Highlands, various Castles en Gardens, the city of Inverness and Loch Ness, among other places. The trip to Balmoral Castle, through the Cairngorms, was phenomenal.Contact with the owners was very easy and friendly. We traveled with an electric car and there were plenty of EV chargers nearby, at the golf club which is within walking distance.

Great base for exploring the Cairngorms

Lovely backyard

Well maintained property with a great backyard -we enjoyed having our dinners in the beautiful private green space in the backyard. The house was just right for our family of four. The host was very Prompt and friendly in her communication. The kitchen was well equipped. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Aviemore and Cairngorms.

Clean but had utility problems

The house is on the outskirts of Aviemore - very quiet, very clean and comfy beds. Very fast broadband and lots of hot water However Heating was inadequate and we had some miserably cold evenings. One night was so cold I struggled to sleep. The cooker was very slow and never got that hot - 45minutes to cook a handful of small potatoes. We could not get the TV to work. I rang the owner who was very responsive and said he would ask a neighbour to drop in to sort it or would ring back. No one came and the owner did not ring back. The flush in the cloakroom was a bit dodgy so to avoid problems we stuck to just using the main bathroom.

Thank you for your review. I am deeply saddened to hear some of your feedback. Whilst you comment that we (the owners) were very responsive regarding your inability to switch the TV on, you didn't care to contact us about the heating. Why would someone stay in a house for 6 days with inadequate heating without seeking some assistance? There is new electric radiators which operate independently in every room, so within a second we could have explained how to press a switch! We sent you messages about the TV and there was no response so we assumed that you had been able to turn the TV on. The cooker is an induction hob and fully operational. We were up at the house testing everything ourselves which we do periodically, and everything was in fine order. We have a maintenance man on site when if contacted can rectify any issues which may come up as soon as is reasonably possible. This we make quite clear in our booking conditions. But I remember that you had not necessarily read through everything as I still had to resend directions to the property as you couldn't find them. We will try to do better!

Great Cottage in good neighbouhood and location

The cottage is very comfortable and good located in Aviemore. In 3 minutes you are in the center of Aviemore and in 15 at the basestation of Cairngorm Mountain. Simmie and Chris are very friendly and helpful. Special wishes regarding equipment and arrival time could be fulfilled. Thank you again.

Disappointing

Dirty floor, cuttlery, pans and plates. Took us 4 hours to clean everything. No compensation was offered for this. Spectacular view on Cairn Gorms offered were not there. Overall very disappointing.

Thank you for your review and we are somewhat surprised but will do all we can to continue to make improvements. Reviews before and after do not represent this feedback. From an owners pov, we offered immediately to send our caretaker back to the house to rectify any issues the guests had but this was declined. Nevertheless we will continue to take on board the comments and try to do better.

Plenty of space

Good sized house for two seniors, two adults and two young children, aged 2 and 5. Beds comfortable, living room sofas less so. Excellent position in Aviemore for walks, town centre and the many local attractions.

Perfect Location

This is a great wee cottage in one of the best locations in Aviemore. As well as being 10 mins walk from the town centre along a beautiful safe path, you can leave the garden by the back gate, and you're 2 mins walk from MacDonald Spey Valley Resort with pool, bar restaurant etc. The bungalow is well appointed with 2 double rooms, and a triple kids room, one bathroom, a large living dining room, and separate kitchen. Outside there's a large garden front and back, with good quality seating area. Tumble dryer and chest freezer in the garage, and off street parking for 3 cars. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. If i was to criticise anything, thee carpet in living area looked a wee bit tired, and decor slightly dated, but really that's splitting hairs. Good sized TV with sky+, Free wifi with very fast connection, Plenty of hot water and a great shower all ensured we had a great time when it rained. Lastly Chris, the owner, bent over backwards to help us. We emailed him with a few enquiries, and he got back to us really promptly and found solutions. We will not hesitate to return, and would heartily recommend this bungalow.

We stayed here in August 2010 and were pleased to find the house in a good location and in good condition. It is probably the best self catered accomodation we've ever stayed in. The house is well equipped and the bedrooms are quite spacious. Aviemore is a good base to work from because there is no shortage of things to do in the surrounding 50 miles or so. So long as you are prepared for the weather you should have a great time.
