The Space:
Nestled at an impressive elevation of 6,476 feet above sea level, this enchanting retreat is situated on an expansive 80-acre horse ranch in the heart of Elizabeth, Colorado, renowned for hosting the PCRA Rodeo, the Elizabeth Stampede, since 1966. This captivating escape, lovingly crafted by hand over four years with dedication and the help of cherished friends, is a testament to passion and perseverance. Treehouse Magic is uniquely built around PAL, a majestic Ponderosa Pine Tree, allowing it the freedom to grow and sway gracefully in the breeze. Every aspect of this space exudes magic! The main house offers 300 square feet of cozy living space, complemented by an additional 1,100 square feet of deck area, 200 square feet of covered space, called the gnome room, which closes with a sliding barn door and equipped with a heat source, providing a versatile alternative space.
Upon arrival at Treehouse Magic, you'll find yourself parking beneath the deck, which doubles as a convenient carport. Before ascending to the treehouse, indulge in the game room, featuring a ping pong table, darts, a hook and ring game, and Giant Jenga. As you make your way up the stairs, remember to "Mind Your Noodle"!
Welcome to the outdoor deck spaces. On the East side, relax by a propane fire pit with four rocking chairs, and enjoy an outdoor kitchen complete with a pellet grill, smoker, and propane griddle. For those who prefer traditional charcoal cooking, a grill and charcoal are available upon request. On the West side, you'll find a table with a 3-point umbrella, a hanging hammock, and the Gnome Room! This versatile indoor/outdoor space includes a couch, a CordaRoy bean bag (which converts into a bed topper for the couch), a rolling table, pop-up tent, cots, a movie screen, and a smart Roku projector for streaming movies. This space has a propane heater, but it NOT insulated or acceptable for sleeping during Winter months
Entering the treehouse, you will be transported to another realm! Pause at the door to admire the lush green grass and gaze up at the treehouse within the treehouse. Magical Gnomes, hand-painted in whimsical worlds, watch over the treehouse and its guests, spreading their enchanting love. The main section of the treehouse features a gathering room with a smart Roku TV and PS4 game station. The couch can be converted into an additional sleeping space. The kitchen is equipped with a 2-burner propane stove, a small refrigerator, and all the essentials for meal preparation. Enjoy complimentary coffee from Dancing Jaguar Coffee, a local treasure from four-generation coffee farmers in Honduras, packaged and labeled right here in Elizabeth. Refresh in the horse trough shower with a rain faucet and take a moment to "ponder" while using the composting toilet and squatty potty. Ascend the steep staircase to the drawing-room, where you can pen a letter or explore the many activity and drawing books. Notice the "mouse house" at your feet and the industrious worker ants that played a vital role in our success! Through the barn door, you'll find the private sleeping quarters, featuring a 14" gel foam full mattress for a restful night's sleep. There's also a couch that converts into another full bed.
*We shut water off from November-April. This means no shower or sink water. We provide plenty of potable water for you to use and drink.
Across the drive to the East, enjoy the outdoor horseshoes and corn hole area, a tire swing, and another dining and relaxation space. If you're bringing your four-legged companion, there's a 3/4 acre fenced-in yard where they can roam off-leash in your company. Engage in a game of glow-in-the-dark tetherball! Two more hammocks, a table and chairs, and a delightful firepit await you. For those times when you need to leave your furry friend for a short while, we offer a large covered kennel.
