Wonder Valley is a unique desert community located just outside of Twentynine Palms. The area’s history dates back to the early 20th century, when homesteading was encouraged and small cabins were built across the open landscape. Many of these original structures still stand today, offering a glimpse into the rugged pioneer spirit of the past. Over time, some have been restored and repurposed, adding historical charm to the valley.
With 360-degree mountain views and wide-open desert skies, the neighborhood is peaceful, scenic, and ideal for stargazing. It’s a beautiful place to slow down, connect with nature, and experience the magic of the Mojave Desert.
Guest Access
Guests enjoy full, private access to the entire home, including three comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, spacious dining areas, and inviting living spaces. Step outside to five acres of desert beauty with a smokeless firepit, lounge seating, outdoor dining, and seasonal soaking tubs for sun-soaked afternoons or starlit evenings. The laundry closet is also available for your convenience.
Locked Areas
For storage and upkeep, a few areas are reserved for owner use, including the outdoor shed and a closet in the primary bedroom. These spaces will remain locked during your stay — thank you for respecting them so we can keep Wanderlust beautifully stocked and ready for every guest.

By Car: Having a car is the most convenient way to explore the area, especially if you plan to visit nearby attractions like Joshua Tree National Park. Most attractions are within an hour of our property. The property is located off of the main highway and is accessible via a dirt road.
Parking at attractions: You'll find plenty of free street parking at attractions or throughout the neighborhoods. Just be sure to check for any local parking signs or time restrictions.
Desert Landscape
The desert is stunning but rugged. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes outdoors, as the terrain can be uneven. This helps keep you safe while exploring and allows you to fully enjoy the natural surroundings at Wanderlust.
Quiet Neighborhood
Wanderlust is nestled in a peaceful desert community where stillness and stargazing are part of the experience. To help maintain the serenity of the area, please observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM.
Seasonal Amenities
Our soaking tubs are available during warmer months and may be closed during colder seasons due to weather conditions. Extreme desert weather may also impact other outdoor amenities. We appreciate your understanding.
No Pets
Although we love animals, Wanderlust is not a pet-friendly property to keep the home allergy-friendly and comfortable for all guests. Bringing an unauthorized pet will result in a $500 fee and immediate removal of the animal.
No Smoking
We maintain a strict no-smoking policy. Smoking inside the home will incur a $1,000 cleaning fee.
Pre-Arrival Requirements
Before your stay, you will be required to complete a pre-arrival form and agree to our rental conditions.
FEES & POLICIES
Cleaning Fee
A standard cleaning fee applies to every reservation.
Extra Guest Fee
An extra guest fee of $50 per guest per night applies after 6 guests.
Security Deposit / Damage Policy
No upfront security deposit is collected; however, guests are responsible for any damages incurred during their stay.
Unauthorized Events / Parties
Unauthorized parties or events will result in a $500 fee and immediate termination of the reservation.
